2014-15 Titans Schedule

BRISTOL, Conn. (8/4/14) -- One of the first pieces to the 2014 Legends Classic Tournament was unveiled today, as the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team will travel to the great northwest to face Oregon as part of the ESPN College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.
 
The game is set for Monday, Nov. 17, at 11 p.m. ET, at Matthew Knight Arena on the campus of the University of Oregon and will be televised live on ESPNU.

This will be the seventh-straight year that ESPN will celebrate the opening of the college basketball season with a marathon across its Family of Networks. This will also mark the second time in the last three years that the Titans have been part of the marathon. Detroit played at St. John's to start the 2013 campaign and fell to the Red Storm 77-74 on ESPN.

Detroit and Oregon have meet three times, with the Titans holding a 3-0 lead in the all-time series. Detroit won the last meeting 71-59 in 1979 at historic Calihan Hall. The Titans also won their only visit to Eugene with a 75-74 victory in 1978. The first meeting between Detroit and Oregon came in 1954, with the Titans winning at home 86-74.

The Marathon will include nine straight games tipping off every two hours beginning Monday with an ESPN2 tripleheader at 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., plus two games on ESPNU. ESPN's schedule of five consecutive games starts at noon on Tuesday and concludes with the State Farm Champions Classic. ESPN2 will also televise a Tuesday primetime doubleheader at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The Titans return All-Horizon League forward and captain Juwan Howard Jr. along with All-League Freshman guard Jarod Williams to the court this season. Detroit will also welcome its 2014 signing class of Aaron Foster-Smith, Jaleel Hogan and Shy McClelland to Dick Vitale Court.
