2014-15 Women's Basketball Schedule
 
INDIANAPOLIS (9/18/2014) -- The final pieces of the 2014-15 University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball schedule was released today as the Horizon League slate was revealed by the league office.
 
Detroit will play four of its first six Horizon League games in the friendly confines of Calihan Hall, but the final three contests of the year will be away from the Motor City marking the third-straight year the red, white and blue will end the regular season on the road.
 
The HL opener will be on Jan. 7 as the Titans host Milwaukee in historic Calihan Hall. Three days later, Detroit will face defending conference champions Wright State on the road.
 
UDM will be back at home on Jan. 15 against defending WBI champions UIC and will then have an exciting homestand the following week with local-rival Oakland in on Jan. 22 and Green Bay on Jan. 24.
 
In February, Detroit will welcome Valparaiso on Feb. 5 and Youngstown State on Feb. 14. The Titans trip to Golden Grizzly territory is set for Feb. 18, while the last homestand of the season will feature Cleveland State on Feb. 21 and Wright State on Feb. 26.
 
Detroit will end the regular season with games at Valparaiso (Feb. 28), at Milwaukee (Mar. 4) and at Green Bay (Mar. 7).
 
The Horizon League Championship format is still the same with the Opening Round game on Mar. 9, the quarterfinals on Mar. 11, the semifinals on Mar. 13 and the title game on Mar. 15. The top four seeds will host the quarterfinals, while the highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals will host the semifinals and the championship game.
 
Back in August, the Titans released their non-conference schedule, which includes five home games against Marygrove (Nov. 16), St. Bonaventure (Nov. 22), Madonna (Dec. 8), Delaware State (Dec. 18) and Western Michigan (Dec. 20). Some key match-ups on the road include the season opener at Michigan, at Ohio, at IPFW and a tournament at Toledo where the red, white and blue will battle the host Rockets and Southeast Missouri State.
