DETROIT (9/29/2014) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball season is just a few weeks away and the Titan Athletic Department has announced a "Countdown to Tipoff" promotion that will be giving away 31 different prizes for all 31 days in the month of October.

To be elgible for the prize drawing, Titan fans must purchase season tickets, a mini-game package, a flex plan or renew their season ticket packages from last season. Each season ticket account is only elgible for one prize. The prizes are also non-transferrable.

One prize will be given away each day during October. Some of the prizes include a Titan Club Pass for home basketball games, merchandise gift certificates, hotel stays and bus trips.

The UDM Director of Ticket Sales Wendy Carpio will be contacting all of the winners after the prizes have been drawn. Fans who win can pick up their prizes in Calihan Hall. For more information on the prize giveaway or to purchase men's basketball tickets, contact Wendy Carpio at (313) 578-0415.

The Detroit men's basketball team opens the regular season Nov. 14 for a 7 p.m. contest against Rochester College in Calihan Hall.
