DETROIT (11/17/2015) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team will once again have a major presence in the Motor City as the Titans are back on WADL and CBS Radio for the 2015-16 season.
"I think Titan fans are going to be extremely happy that we will have both a television and radio media impact right here in the city of Detroit as we continue to push our brand forward," said UDM Director of Athletics
Robert C. Vowels, Jr. "The Titans will be televised nationally, locally and digitally and we will have an increase in the number of radio broadcasts for our fans to truly follow every basket this season."
Detroit will have 10 of its 15 home games broadcast live on WADL. In combination with its nationally televised games on the American Sports Network, ESPN and Fox College Sports, as well as the Titans' digital platform on ESPN3, 28 of Detroit's 29 regular season games will be carried on a major network.
"We are excited to be airing the UDM basketball games again this season," said WADL owner Kevin Adell. "As always, we love to bring local sports for the public's enjoyment."
The lone contest that will not aired on a major network is the game at Oral Roberts, but even that is set to be streamed live by ORU giving fans unprecedented access to watch every second of Titan basketball with the proper cable and online subscriptions.
With the sensational sound of
Dan Leach back to call all the action, the Titans will appear on CBS Radio 23 times this season with games on the dial on 1270 AM and a live audio stream on 97.1 FM The Ticket.
"I am tremendously excited to be back with the Titans," said Leach as he begins his third year as the Voice of the Titans. "It is a relationship that I truly cherish and I am looking forward to what should be a very exciting season inside historic Calihan Hall."
Detroit will start the year at home against Central State on Monday, Nov. 16, before traveling to ACC foe Pittsburgh on Friday, Nov. 20.
New season tickets for basketball are currently on sale starting at just $99. Season ticket renewal information is also available by calling the Titan Ticket Office at 313-993-1700.
