DETROIT (2/17/2015) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team will continue its three-game road trip when the Titans visit Green Bay on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET at the Resch Center and will be televised nationally on ESPN3.

Paris Bass scored a career-high 28 points, but it wasn't enough as Metro Series rival Oakland was able to sneak out an 83-78 win over the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team on Sunday at the O'rena in front of a record crowd of 4,101.

Bass finished the game with 28 points on 9-of-14 shooting, while grabbing a team six rebounds and dishing out two assists. Junior
Anton Wilson pitched in 11 points, while senior forward
Juwan Howard Jr. added nine.

Detroit (12-16, 5-8 HL) led 67-64 with 5:38 left, before the Golden Grizzlies closed the game with a 19-11 run - including five-straight free throws - in the final minute to seal the win.

Oakland (13-14, 8-4 HL) led 46-33 at the half, before the Titans opened the second half with a 32-18 run – including a monster dunk from freshman
Jaleel Hogan – to give Detroit a 65-64 lead with seven minutes remaining.
ABOUT GREEN BAYAfter a defensive slugfest in the opening 20 minutes, visiting Green Bay (20-6, 9-3 HL) fell behind by as many as 15 points in the second half and saw its furious rally come up short in a 63-59 loss at Valparaiso (23-4, 10-2 HL) on Friday night.
Senior point guard Keifer Sykes who required stitches in the first half of Wednesday's win before hitting the game-winning shot, was limited on Friday night after suffering a hand injury in the first half. The reigning Horizon League Player of the Year had to watch much of the second half from the bench.
Carrington Love finished with 15 points to lead four Phoenix players in double figures. Junior Jordan Fouse added 11 points, eight rebounds and two steals, and seniors Greg Mays and Alfonzo McKinnie tallied 10 points each. Mays added five of Green Bay's 11 blocks and four assists.
SERIES WITH THE PHOENIXThis will be the 49th meeting between Detroit and Green Bay, with the all-time series tied 24-24. Green Bay has won the last four meetings, including a 70-64 win over the Titans this season during Homecoming at Calihan Hall.

PARIS OVER 300UDM freshman sensation
Paris Bass recently became the 15th Titan to score or more 300 points during his rookie campaign. Bass enters Wednesday's game with 353 points, which is 42 points more than the Titans all-time leading scorer Rashad Phillips '01, who scored 311 during his freshman season.

Ray McCallum, who finished with 446 points in 2010.

HOWARD IS 21st OVERALLThis season, Detroit senior forward
Juwan Howard Jr. became the 39th Titan to join the 1,000-point club and is currently 21st all-time on the list with 1,327 points. Former Titan Jermaine Jackson '99, who was honored last week with the John Conti Award, sits at number 20 on the list with 1,341 points.

2015 HL FIRST-ROUND TICKETS AVAILABLEThe 2015 Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship begins Tuesday (March 3) with two first-round games on campus sites. Detroit, which is currently holding on to the fifth seed, could be one of the two teams to host a home game in the first-round at historic Calihan Hall.

If the Titans host a first-round game all tickets will be available for $5 each. Tickets are currently available to be pre-ordered and will be sold, as soon as Detroit knows it is hosting a first-round game. This game is not included in the season ticket package; all in attendance will have to purchase a $5 general admission ticket for this game.

TITAN LUNCHEON ANNOUNCEDThe UDM Department of Athletics has announced that its fourth Titan Luncheon of the 2014-15 season will be held on Monday, Feb. 23, inside historic Calihan Hall at 12:30 p.m.

Ray McCallum talking about senior day (Feb. 25), the upcoming match-up with Valparaiso and how the Titans look going into the Horizon League Championship. Head women's basketball coach
Autumn Rademacher '97 will also talk about final two weeks of League play before the women begin their post-season run.
