DETROIT (5/18/2015) -- The 2015 Horizon League Freshman of the Year
Paris Bass is in for a full week of competition as he was invited to participate in the Inaugural Nike Basketball Academy.
Â
The invite-only camp built around the top-20 college basketball players in the country is scheduled for June 26-30 at the Santa Monica Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
"This is a great opportunity for Paris to play against some of the top players in the nation and will give him an opportunity to continue to develop his game," said head coach
Ray McCallum.
As one of the 20 invitees, Bass will learn from current NBA greats such as Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Davis.
Bass finished his rookie campaign scoring 410 points, the most by a Titan freshman since
Ray McCallum in 2010, and averaged 12.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
Â
Bass finished second on the team in scoring, first in rebounds, second in assists and first in blocked shots with 35. He was also named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on four occasions and recorded four double-doubles on the season.
