2015-16 MBB Schedule
DETROIT (6/17/2015) – The second home game for the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team during the 2015-16 season will be against the University of Michigan-Dearborn on Monday, November 23. This will mark just the second meeting between the two schools.
Detroit won the first matchup 106-51 at historic Calihan Hall during the 2013-14 season. Senior
Anton Wilson finished with a career-high 21 points, two assists and two blocks, while junior guards
Jarod Williams and
Matthew Grant combined for 22 points, seven assists, four rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Over the 63 years since the opening of Calihan Hall, the men's basketball team has enjoyed a 594-240 (.712) homecourt record on campus, including a 10-6 record last season and a 70-36 ledger since head coach
Ray McCallum took over in 2008.
U-M Dearborn finished 11-19 overall last year, with the 11 wins being the most in program history.
Detroit is scheduled to host six non-conference games this season at Calihan Hall, followed by nine Horizon League games in the Motor City.
For the next two weeks, the Titans will announce a home non-conference game every day rotating back and forth between the men's and women's basketball teams. Then, in early July, the full non-conference slate for both programs will be released.
