2015-16 MBB Schedule
DETROIT (6/26/2015) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team will welcome American Athletic Conference foe University of Central Florida to historic Calihan Hall on Saturday, December 19 for the Titans final non-conference home game of the 2015-16 season.
This will be just the second meeting between UCF and Detroit, with the Knights winning the first matchup 75-70 last season at CFE Arena.
The Titans trailed by 18 with 14:06 left in regulation, before trimming the lead to three, 68-65 with 29 seconds left. But the Knights made 7-of-8 free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win.
Paris Bass finished with 11 points to go along with a team-high six rebounds, while
Matthew Grant pitched in eight points while dishing out four assists.
Over the 63 years since the opening of Calihan Hall, the men's basketball team has enjoyed a 594-240 (.712) homecourt record on campus, including a 10-6 record last season and a 70-36 ledger since head coach
Ray McCallum took over in 2008.
Detroit is scheduled to host six non-conference games this season at Calihan Hall, followed by nine Horizon League games in the Motor City.
