DETROIT (7/21/2015) -- The only thing you can ask for is an opportunity and at the University of Detroit Mercy, the men's basketball program has proven that it allows student-athletes the chance to earn a degree and pursue a professional career on the hardwood.
The latest two are
Juwan Howard Jr., and
Ugochukwu Njoku, who both took part in this year's NBA Summer League.
Howard played with Miami and appeared in four games with the Heat during the team's NBA Summer League in Orlando and Las Vegas, while Njoku played in two games with the Milwaukee Bucks in Las Vegas.
They became the fifth and sixth players in head coach
Ray McCallum's tenure to play in the NBA Summer League joining
Eli Holman,
Ray McCallum,
Nick Minnerath and
Chase Simon. McCallum – who is now a member of the San Antonio Spurs - won an NBA Summer League Championship with Sacramento in 2014 and was named the title game's MVP.
Along with those six players, 10 other Titans coached by McCallum have also played professionally in domestic and foreign leagues in

Jason Calliste,
Chris Hayes,
Evan Bruinsma,
Michael Harrington,
Thomas Kennedy,
