DETROIT (8/12/2015) -- Members of the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team and head coach Bernard Scott were on hand this past Saturday, Aug. 8 at the 2015 Oak Park Summer Fest to pass out schedules and partake in the summer fun.

The players passed out schedules for the upcoming season and enjoyed the summer entertainment, including hosting a holla-hoop contest with several kids. The players on hand to help out were sisters Haleigh Ristovski and Lola Ristovski, Chea Taylor and Nicole Urbanick.

Spearheaded by the Oak Park Arts and Cultural Commission, Oak Park Ethnic Advisory Commission, Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce, and City of Oak Park, the Summer Fest featured great bands, family entertainment, and activities including swimming, miniature golf, inflatables, a rock climbing wall, an outdoor art fair, Taste of Oak Park, Detroit Institute of Art Bus and more.
