DETROIT (8/25/2015) -- University of Detroit Mercy students have a chance to win a $250 gift card for textbooks at both halftimes of the soccer doubleheader Friday, Aug. 28. Presented by Michigan First Credit Union, one UDM student will be selected to win the prize during each halftime during "Back to School Day" at Titan Field.
Students can sign up for the raffle drawing for free during the PTV Road Rally between 3-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Detroit soccer doubleheader begins at Noon on Friday as the men's soccer squad opens the 2015 regular season against IUPUI. The Detroit women's soccer team follows with a 3 p.m. match against Ohio. The winner of the raffle prize will be announced at halftime of each match.
To win the $250 raffle prize,
students must be present at the soccer games.
Fans will also have a chance to win money for textbooks, too. Young and Free Michigan, powered by Michigan First Credit Union, is holding a Bucks for Books contest. Fans just have to fill out a short entry form at YoungFreeMichigan.com by Friday, Sept. 18 for a chance to win up to $500.
Both Detroit soccer games are set to be streamed on ESPN3.com. It's the only soccer doubleheader of the season at home.
