On Thursday, the trio of Titans read to various classrooms ranging from first to fifth grade at Einstein Elementary.
"It's great to give back to the community, read to the students and just get involved with the people around us," Seward said.
The children welcomed the student-athletes and had all sorts of questions, comments and smiles for the Titans.
"I think they like it. When older people show up and it's not an actual teacher, they get really attached to us,"
Lola Ristovski said. "I love working with kids so it was awesome."
"I think that it gives them somewhat of a role model to look up to," Reynolds added. "We are coming from college, taking time out of our day to come read to them and spend time with them. I think it just really brightens their day. Hopefully, it makes them want to go to college and continue their education."
The Titans are gearing up for the 2015-16 season and begin fall practice officially on Oct. 5. Detroit's first home game is slated for Nov. 5 when UDM welcomes Lawrence Tech to historic Calihan Hall for an exhibition game.
