DETROIT (9/30/2015) -- Fans, we want you to tell us who you want to see draining shots and lighting up the new scoreboard as voting is now open to pick out the teams that will compete in the Hoop Night In The D Hot Shot Competition.

Titan students in attendance will receive raffle tickets to be eligible to win a grand prize at the event.
 
The Hot Shot Competition will pit a member of the men's and women's basketball team together for two minutes of high-scoring action. 
 
Overall, four teams will compete for the Hoop Night In The D Hot Shot Competition title and we want you to chose the participants.

"Hoop Night in the D," presented by Michigan First Credit Union, is an event used to start the season. The event is set for Friday, Oct. 16 at historic Calihan Hall.
 
Doors for the FREE event open at 5:30 p.m. as it's set to run from 6-8 p.m. All fans are welcome.
 
Formally known as Titan Tip-off, "Hoop Night in the D" will feature the introduction of the 2015-16 Detroit Titans men's and women's basketball teams.
 
Other activities include a Kid's Dunk Contest, Lip Sync Battle, Hot Shot Contest and Dunk Contest by members of the men's basketball team. The brand new video scoreboard and new sound system will also be on display for Titan fans. A student in attendance will also be selected to help judge the dunk contest.
 
Concessions, prizes and giveaways will also be available at "Hoop Night in the D."
 
The Voice of the Titans, Dan Leach, will serve as the emcee for the event. The Titan dance and cheer teams will be in attendance along with the pep band.
