DETROIT (10/5/2016) -- Nominations for induction into the prestigious University of Detroit Mercy Athletic Hall Of Fame is now open and fans are welcomed to nominate their all-time Titan greats.

The official induction is set for January 28-29 with the men's basketball team hosting Green Bay on Jan. 29.

Detroit Mercy established its Sports Hall of Fame in 1977 in order to honor those student-athletes, coaches and administrators who have helped develop the successful tradition of Titan Athletics. Today, the Titan Hall of Fame has 122 all-time greats.

The last Hall of Fame class was in 2014 as former Titans' men's basketball head coach Perry Watson was inducted, along with the 1972 men's fencing team that won the NCAA Championship. U-D basketball standouts Lisa Blackburn and Lee Knorek, soccer greats Jorge Ferreira and Mary Latham (Parker), as well as cross country's Kim Hemstreet all were inducted into the Hall of Fame as the Class of 2014.
