DETROIT (11/4/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team will get ready for its second and final exhibition as the Titans welcome Ferris State into historic Calihan Hall on Monday, Nov. 7.
Tip-off will be at 7 p.m., on Dick Vitale Court and the game will be
FREE for all fans.
The contest will not be on ESPN3 or on local radio, but will feature
live stats.
Detroit Mercy dropped its first exhibition game, 85-79, to Wayne State last Saturday despite a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds from senior
Chris Jenkins. Freshman
Corey Allen tallied 20 points and junior
Jaleel Hogan posted 18 points and nine rebounds.
Ferris State will be playing its second exhibition in three games on Monday as the Bulldogs will visit Xavier on Saturday.
Ferris State won the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Championship for the second-straight year last season and advanced to the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen, but will have to replace four starters. Overall, seven letter winners from last year return to the squad that went 24-10 last season.
The official start of the 2016-17 season is set for next Friday, Nov. 11, when the red, white and blue meet Adrian in Calihan Hall.
