MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (12/2/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team plays its sixth road game out of eight to open the 2016-17 season, facing Big Ten foe Minnesota on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET and 2 p.m. CT. The game is set to be televised on the Big Ten Network Plus.
Admission into the game is between $6-15 at Williams Arena. It's the second meeting between the two schools in their women's basketball histories.
The Titans are coming off a 55-54 loss at home to George Mason in front of 3,117 fans on Field Trip Day inside historic Calihan Hall. It was the largest crowd for a Titan women's basketball game since 2004, when Detroit Mercy beat Green Bay in front of more than 3,200 fans.

• Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds was named to the CSUN Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team following Detroit Mercy's 66-64 victory over Delaware on Nov. 26. Reynolds averaged 10.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.0 blocks in two games during the tournament.
• Reynolds is eighth all-time in career scoring with 1,333 points. She is 29 points away from seventh place all-time on the Titan scoring list. Reynolds is fourth all-time in career assists with 431 and is eight away from third place.
• Detroit Mercy ranks first in the Horizon League in defensive rebounds per game (31.9) and second in 3-pointers made per game (7.7) and blocked shots per game (4.30).
• Reynolds ranks seventh in the league in scoring (15.3 ppg) and second in assists per game (5.3) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.1).

Brianne Cohen is fifth in the HL in field goal percentage (54.1). She was second in the league and among the nation's leaders last year in the category.

Kelsey Mitchell leads the team in rebounding at 7.7 boards per game (ninth in the HL) off the bench.
• Three current Titans are in the top 11 all-time in 3-pointers made --

Haleigh Ristovski leads the team with 15 triples in 2016-17 and ranks third in the conference in treys at 2.1 per game and seventh in percentage (40.5).
• Reynolds became the sixth Titan in school history to start in her 100th career contest earlier this year.
• Detroit Mercy has totaled 40 rebounds or more in five of seven games this season.
• Over its past five games, Detroit Mercy has recorded 27 blocks after opening the season with three in the first two contests.
• The Titans are fourth in the Horizon League currently in scoring at 70.1 points per contest.
• Detroit Mercy's attendance of 3,117 on Field Trip Day was the largest crowd for a Titan women's basketball home game at Calihan Hall since 2004.
• Head coach
Bernard Scott is 18-19 in his second season as the leader of the Titans.
All-Time Series / Scouting Minnesota
The Titans and Minnesota are meeting for just the second time ever in women's basketball and first since the 2004-05 season. The game also took place in Minneapolis with the No. 18/18 Golden Gophers earning an 86-34 victory over Detroit Mercy on Dec. 2, 2014. It was the first of three ranked teams the Titans faced during that season.
Minnesota started the 2016-17 season with four victories and have since dropped three straight, including two in the Bahamas in the Junkanoo Jam tournament. The Golden Gophers, which has a 3-1 record at home, have wins over Harvard, Seton Hall, VCU and Georgetown and most recently fell to Florida State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Carlie Wagner leads the squad in scoring at 20.3 points per game, while Kenisha Bell (16.7 ppg) and Gadiva Hubbard (13.0 ppg) also average in double figures. Jessie Edwards is pulling down 7.1 boards per game and Bell has 40 assists to lead the squad. Minnesota scores 76.6 points and 45.1 boards per game.
Road Warriors
Detroit Mercy has earned two road wins this season and open the season with nine of 12 away from Calihan Hall. The Titans broke a school record last year in head coach
Bernard Scott's first season with a 7-2 league record on the road.
Moving On Up
Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds began the season 15th on the all-time scoring list and is quickly moving up the list as she is up to eighth place with 1,333 points. She is 29 points away from seventh place. Reynolds also reached the 400-assist plateau, becoming the fourth player in school history to do so and is eight assists away from third place in career helpers. In her start against Bradley, Reynolds became the sixth player in school history to start in 100 career games.
Senior
Haleigh Ristovski is also moving up in the Titan record books, having moved into the top 10 in rebounds. She ranks seventh all-time with 658 caroms. Ristovski is also 10th in career 3-pointers made (130) and 11th in total blocks (74), just one off cracking into the top 10.
On Tap
Detroit Mercy returns to the state of Michigan for its next contest, visiting Eastern Michigan on Dec. 6 for a 7 p.m. contest in Ypsilanti.
The Titans then host Western Michigan on Saturday, Dec. 10 before receiving a 10-day break and then playing at Toledo on Dec. 21, the last game before Christmas and the final non-conference contest.
Detroit Mercy opens league play on Dec. 29 at home, hosting Valparaiso at Calihan Hall.
