DETROIT (12/23/2016) -- University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball senior
Chris Jenkins posted his second double-double of the season and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds against Fort Wayne, but it was his massive dunk that the nation saw as he made SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays of the Day for Dec. 22.
Off a steal by freshman
Cole Long, the ball ended up in sophomore
Josh McFolley's hands and he fed Jenkins, who slammed it in with authority.
Â
It was voted No. 9 on SportsCenter's Top 10 plays, his second career dunk to make ESPN's SportsCenter showcase. Last season versus UIC on Jan. 8, he had an offensive rebound and jam that was voted
No. 8.
The Titans over the years have been known to end up on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays with the likes of Jenkins,
Paris Bass and Doug Anderson.Â
Detroit Mercy will return to action next Thursday, Dec. 29, when the red, white and blue welcome Northern Kentucky into historic Calihan Hall for a 7:30 tip.Â
