DETROIT (2/24/2017) – All tickets for the 2017 Little Caesars Horizon League Men's and Women's Basketball Championship at Joe Louis Arena are on sale at MotorCityMadness.HorizonLeague.com/tickets, the Joe Louis Arena Box Office, or the Joe Louis Arena Ticket Sales and Service Office at 313-471-7575.

While final seeds have not been determined, fans should note that the Detroit Mercy men's basketball team will play on the opening day, Friday, March 3, at either 5:30 or 8 p.m., and the Detroit Mercy women's basketball team will begin its quest for a title on Sunday, March 5, at either Noon or 2:30.

Starting at $45, all-session tickets will cover all 18 games of the tournament. Fans can purchase school fan section tickets until March 1 by clicking on the appropriate school link and use either UDM for single-session tickets or TITANS for full-session tickets. 

The final bracket will be announced on Sunday, Feb. 26. 

"Motor City Madness," which will feature the men's and women's tournament held in the same venue, will include a pair of championship games on March 7 with automatic berths to the NCAA Basketball Tournament on the line.

The Horizon League and Olympia Entertainment announced Rick Mahorn as the final panelist for the Champions Brunch at Joe Louis Arena. The NBA champion and former Detroit Pistons forward rounds out a group that includes ESPN women's college basketball analyst Kelley Deyo as the moderator, three-time WNBA champion Cheryl Ford, and Green Bay Director of Athletics Mary Ellen Gillespie. The event will be held at 10 a.m. on March 7 in the International Bancard Olympia Club inside Joe Louis Arena.

The cost to attend the event is $25 and is open to the public. Attendees receive a ticket to the Champions Brunch and a game ticket to the women's and men's championship games. Fans who already have a game ticket can purchase a Champions Brunch ticket for $15. To purchase, click here.

The brunch will conclude with remarks from Horizon League Deputy Commissioner Julie Roe Lach who brings more than 20 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics.

Last year, "Motor City Madness" welcomed 20,908 fans to Joe Louis Arena, as the men's tournament was played in Detroit for the first time. With Little Caesars Arena set to open in the fall of 2017, this is the final season that the championship will be hosted at Joe Louis Arena. Affectionately known as the "Farewell Season at the Joe," this year's tournament is one of several events to be hosted at the historic venue.

The ESPN family of networks will televise all 18 games, on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 or ESPNU.
