ALL-TIME VS. TOLEDO
The match-up between the Titans and Rockets is the 57th in this rivalry that dates back to 1920 as Toledo leads the all-time series, 31-25.

Detroit Mercy has won two in a row, but Toledo is 19-7 all-time at home.

ABOUT THE ROCKETS
Toledo enters the game on a three-game slide - two by way of overtime - and is 3-5 on the season. The Rockets have virtually been involved in all close games this season with four overtime contests and two other games that have been decided by less than five points.

Toledo has also played three other Horizon League schools so far defeating Youngstown State (103-98, OT) and a road win at Wright State (82-78), but falling to Green Bay at home (78-77, OT).

Jonathan Williams leads the team in scoring at 16.6 points per game. Steve Taylor Jr., is tallying 16.4 points along with team highs of 12.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

Toledo is averaging 79.8 points, while yielding 83.1.

The Rockets were picked to finish fourth in the MAC West Division in the MAC preseason poll.

CONGRATS YOUNG ALLEN
Rookie Corey Allen is starting to blossom into one of the top young scorers in the Horizon League and the conference recognized him as its HL Freshman of the Week on Monday, Dec. 5.

Allen led the Titans in scoring in last week's pair of games tallying 18.0 points on 60.0-percent shooting (12-of-20), including 61.5-percent (8-of-13) from three. He started the week off by recording a season-high 20 points against Eastern Michigan, going 7-of-11 from the field with four triples.

He then knocked down another four 3-pointers en route to 16 points, while tying his season high with five rebounds and two assists at Murray State.

UNSTOPPABLE
Junior Jaleel Hogan has once again been an offensive force down low for the Titans ranking sixth in the Horizon League in field-goal percentage at 56.5 percent (39-of-69).

He is currently second in school history in career field-goal percentage at 58.4 percent trailing only Eli Holman '12 (60.5%).

JALETHAL
Junior Jaleel Hogan posted his sixth-straight game in double figures recording 16 points with seven rebounds at Murray State. He has now been in double figures in seven of his eight games on the year.

During his streak he has had 11 points against Eastern Michigan, a season-best 19 points against Manhattan, where he tied his career-best with eight field goals, and 18 points in just 15 minutes at New Hampshire.

His other double-digit games have included 16 points at Illinois and 12 against Florida State and Adrian.

Hogan has also just missed a double-double in the two of the last three games corralling back-to-back nine-rebound performances against the Jaspers and Eagles.

He is currently tied for the team lead and shares 13th in the HL in scoring at 13.3 ppg.

HIGH SCORING MCFOLLEY
Sophomore Josh McFolley is currently tied for the team lead and shares 13th in the Horizon League in scoring at 13.3 points per game.

He led Detroit Mercy last game at Murray State with 17 points and has now been in double figures in scoring in five games on the year with a Titan best of 25 points at ETSU, 16 at Illinois, 13 at New Hampshire and 18 versus Manhattan.

He is also fifth in three-point field goals made (2.5) and ninth in the HL in three-point field goal percentage (42.6%).

NOT ON MY WATCH
Junior Jaleel Hogan posted a career-best three blocks against Eastern Michigan his last time out and has five blocks in the last three games.

He is currently seventh in the Horizon League with 1.0 blocks per game.

DEFENSIVE IMPROVEMENTS
The Titans have shown some improvements on defense since the season has started.

After allowing teams to shoot over 50.0 percent in the first five games, the Titans have held their last three opponents to under that mark, including a season-low 44.3 percent at Murray State.

Also, after being outworked on the boards by double digits in three-straight games, the Titans have lowered that margin to single digits in the last four, including just a -4 margin at Murray State their last time out.

ALLEN COMING ALONG
Freshman Corey Allen has notched double figures in scoring four times this season, including in three-straight games.

He is coming off a 16-point game at Murray State, where he was 5-of-9 from the field with four 3-pointers and tied his season high with five rebounds and two assists.

He started the streak with 10 points against Manhattan and then netted a season-high 20 points against Eastern Michigan, where he was 7-of-11 from the field and 4-of-6 from deep.

In the last three games, he is averaging 15.3 points on 15-of-30 shooting (50.0%) and 10-of-17 (58.8%) from three.

In his first five games, Allen averaged 8.2 points on 36.6 percent shooting (15-of-41) from the field and 35.3 percent (6-of-17) from long range.

He is currently fourth on the team in scoring at 10.9 points, tied for 25th in the Horizon League and third most among HL freshmen. He also second in the league in three-point field goal percentage (47.1%) as well as tied for 14th with 2.0 three-point field goals per game.

DRE DAY
Junior DeShawndre Black has had at least three assists in seven of the first eight games, including a season-best seven assists against Manhattan and five assists his last time out on the road at Murray State.

He is currently seventh in the Horizon League with 3.6 assists per game.

Black also has a 3.6 assist-to-turnover ratio on the season (29 assists, 8 turnovers) - leading the HL in that category and ranking 22nd in the nation - including 21 assists and just six turnovers in the last five games.

He has also picked up his offense scoring a season-high 14 points at New Hampshire.

CJ DOES IT ALL
Senior Chris Jenkins is off to a slow start from behind the arc, but he currently ranks second in school history in three-point field goal percentage at 41.0 percent (80-of-195).

Jenkins has scored in double figures in five games on the season with a season-high 18 at Florida State. He also had 15 points against Manhattan, 13 at Illinois and 10 with six rebounds his last time out at Murray State.

He has also just missed recording a double-double a couple of times with 13 points and nine boards at Illinois and nine points with eight rebounds against Eastern Michigan.

Jenkins has handed out an assist in six of the eight games with a season-high five at ETSU.

He is now third on the team in scoring (11.3 ppg.) - 21st in the HL - while topping the squad on the boards (6.0 rpg.) - 10th in the HL - and third in assists (1.9).

CAREER NIGHT FOR MCFOLLEY
Sophomore Josh McFolley tallied a career-high 25 points at ETSU going 8-of-17 from the field and 7-of-9 from behind the arc.

It was his second career 20-point game and his fifth career contest where he knocked down at least four triples.

The seven triples are currently the most by a player in the HL this season, and the most by a Titan since Jon Goode sank eight at UIC on Jan. 19, 2008.

JUST PERFECT
Sophomore Gerald Blackshear Jr. had a perfect day shooting against Adrian by tying his career high with 12 points in going 5-for-5 from the field.

Blackshear Jr. is coming off one of his most active games with eight points, five rebounds and an assist in 25 minutes at Murray State.

He recorded his second double-digit scoring effort of the year with 10 points (4-6 FG) and six boards against Manhattan, and that was after a nine-point and season-high seven-rebound performance at New Hampshire, where he was 4-of-5 from the field.

On the year, he is 20-of-29 (69.0%) from the field, but he does not have enough field goals to qualify for the league lead.

Last season, he averaged 4.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game, while shooting a 55.2 percent from the field.

DOUBLE J
Senior Jarod Williams came up with his first career double-double in the season-opening win over Adrian as he ended the contest with 10 points and a career-best 10 boards.

He came back to record 16 points - just two shy of his career high - at ETSU, and just grabbed six rebounds off the bench against Eastern Michigan and notched nine points with five rebounds at Murray State.

On the year, he is shooting 55.9 percent in averaging 6.3 points and 4.0 rebounds.

HE CAN SHOOT THE 3?
Freshman seven-footer Malik Eichler is 4-for-4 behind the arc this season.
In a stat anomaly, the seven-footer almost has as many 3-pointers (4) as total rebounds (7) on the year.

Eichler had a season-high seven points against Eastern Michigan, where he was 2-of-3 from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 at the free throw line.

SHOW ME THE WAY ED
Freshman walk-on Ed Carter III had a great collegiate debut as he dished out a game-high five assists in the season opener. What was even better is that he recorded five assists against zero turnovers.

He went on to pick up four more assists before he recorded his first collegiate turnover.

On the year, he has 11 assists against just four turnovers.

THE MAN FROM NEWFOUNDLAND
Freshman Cole Long is believed to be the first Titan in school history to hail from Newfoundland as well as the only current Division I player from that province of Canada.

Long moved to Orangeville, Ontario, to attend high school at the prestigious Athlete Institute Preparatory School of Basketball.

He was ranked the No. 17 recruit in Canada by Hoops Hype Canada as well as No. 22 by North Pole Hoops. Long finished his two-year prep career with the Athlete Institute basketball team, where he played alongside Jamal Murray, who suited up for one season at Kentucky and was the No. 7 pick in the 2016 NBA draft as well as Thon Maker, the No. 10 overall pick in the draft.
