DETROIT (3/18/2016) --
It was a memorable 2015-16 season for the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team under the direction of first-year head coach Bernard Scott. From buzzer beaters to thrilling overtime wins to winning and finishing a game with five available players, the 2015-16 campaign was one to remember.

The Titans accomplished several milestones during the season and reached heights not previously accomplished in a few seasons. Here's some of the achievements from the Detroit squad during the season:

Team Highlights:

• In 18 conference games, Detroit led the Horizon League in field goal percentage (42.7) and 3-point field goal percentage (34.1).
• Detroit's 106 blocks was the most by a Titan squad since the 2006-07 campaign.

• UDM swept the regular-season series with Milwaukee, Valparaiso and Cleveland State.

Individual Highlights:
• Sophomore Brianne Cohen was named Sixth Player of the Year, while junior Rosanna Reynolds was voted First Team All-Horizon League. The pair combined for three Player of the Week honors.
Rosanna Reynolds became the 20th player to reach 1,000 points in her career. By the end of the season, she reached No. 15 on the all-time scoring list and has 1,226 points after her junior season.
• Cohen had the largest scoring jump from one season to the next in school history. She saw her scoring average increase by 12.1 points to 15.6 points per game this year. It was also the biggest jump in the Horizon League for returning players. Cohen scored in double figures in 22 of 28 games off the bench.

• Three Titans surpassed 100 career 3-pointers during the year as Reynolds, Haleigh Ristovski and Nicole Urbanick became the 12th, 13th and 14th players in school history to reach that plateau. All three are in the top 10 in career 3-pointers made.
• Detroit was the only squad in the conference to have three of the top 10 scorers in the league. The trio of Cohen (fifth, 15.6 ppg), Reynolds (sixth, 15.6 ppg) and Urbanick (ninth, 14.1 ppg) all ranked in the top 10 in the Horizon League in scoring.
