DETROIT (3/24/2016) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer team is set to host a pair of summer camps in July leading up to the 2016 season. Detroit is set to host its annual Prospect Camp on July 8 and will also welcome high school teams on campus for a High School Showcase on July 27-28.
Detroit's Prospect Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 8 and costs $140 per camper. Registration is underway for the camp and includes a T-shirt and lunch. The camp includes training sessions, compliance and strength and conditioning meetings as well as 11-vs-11 games.
New this year, the UDM men's soccer team is set to host a High School Showcase for high school soccer teams. The two-day camp begins at 8 a.m. each day and coaches from all over the state across all levels -- Division I to NAIA -- will be in attendance to watch. Price per team is $500.

Detroit is coming off its second-consecutive winning season under head coach
Nicholas Deren '99, going 7-5-8 during the 2015 season. Detroit has had its lowest goals against average in school history in each of the past two seasons and earned a 2-1 victory over the University of Michigan this past season in Ann Arbor.
