KANSAS CITY, Mo. (3/25/2016) -- Sophomore
Paris Bass has another honor to add to his young and decorated career as he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District Second Team on Friday.
The selection was for District 12 as he was one of five Horizon League players to receive the accolade.
The First Team All-Horizon League honoree as well as Co-Titan MVP led the team in scoring (18.4), rebounding (8.0), blocks (1.4) and steals (1.4), finishing fourth in the HL in blocks, fifth in scoring and rebounding and tied for sixth in steals.
He recorded double figures in scoring in 19 of his 24 contests, pulled down at least seven rebounds in 17 games and had three assists or more 11 times. He also posted 13, 20-point outings and seven double- doubles, which was tied for third in the HL in 20-point games and tied for seventh in double-doubles.
At one point in the season, he tallied six-straight 20-point games, the most by a Titan since Willie Green did it in 10-straight from 2002-03. He grabbed 17 rebounds in a road game at Cleveland State, the most by a Titan since Eli Holman had 18 in 2010, and rejected six shots at Green Bay, the most by a Titan since Marc Mazur in 2002.
He ended the year with a career-best 442 points and now has 860 points in his first two collegiate seasons.
The NABC was selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC as these student-athletes and coaches represent the finest basketball players and coaches across America.
