DETROIT (8/2/2016) -- Head coach
Bacari Alexander '99 will make his Titan debut on the sidelines at home as the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team's non-conference and preseason schedule was officially released.
Detroit Mercy will start the year with a pair of home preseason games hosting Wayne State on Oct. 29 and Ferris State on Nov. 7.Â
The game with Wayne State is the first match-up with the Warriors since an exhibition on Nov. 19, 2002. The contest is set to benefit Detroit Public Schools and more details on that will be released in the near future.
The 2016-17 season will officially kick off on Nov. 11 as the red, white and blue welcome Adrian College.Â
After that, the Titans will hit the road with four-straight road games, starting with a trip to East Tennessee State on Nov. 14.
The NIT Season-Tip-Off is next with Detroit Mercy playing at Illinois (Nov. 18), Florida State (Nov. 20) and New Hampshire (Nov. 23) before closing out the event with a home game against Manhattan on Nov. 26.Â
Another state rival comes to town on Nov. 30 as the Titans and Eastern Michigan battle it out on Dick Vitale Court in historic Calihan Hall.Â
The team then gets on the bus again for three-straight road affairs visiting Murray State (Dec. 3), Toledo (Dec. 7) and Bowling Green (Dec. 10).Â
The non-conference schedule will end with two home games as the Titans entertain Western Kentucky on Dec. 17 and IPFW on Dec. 22.
