MILWAUKEE, Wis. (1/12/2017) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team looks to win the finale in their only road trip to Wisconsin during the regular season Friday afternoon, meeting Milwaukee in an 11 a.m. local and 12 p.m. ET contest inside the Klotsche Center. The game is set to be streamed live on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN Applications.
Detroit Mercy (7-8, 3-1 HL) is coming off a great effort at Green Bay, falling by just five points, 60-55, on Wednesday. Milwaukee (11-5, 3-2 HL) also dropped a contest on Wednesday, falling to Oakland at home, 75-73. The Titans won both games against the Panthers in head coach
Bernard Scott's first season in 2015-16.
Titan News & Notes
• Detroit Mercy opened the season 3-0 for the first time since the 2004-05 season. At 3-1 in the Horizon League, its the best start after four games since the 2011-12 season.
• Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds was named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Monday (Jan. 9) following a 32-point, 10-rebound performance in a road victory over rival Oakland.
• The win at Oakland was the second in as many seasons for the Titans and coach Scott. Detroit Mercy out-scored the Golden Grizzlies 27-12 in the fourth quarter, earning an 80-71 triumph.
• Reynolds moved into fifth place on the all-time scoring list in the victory, passing Titan Hall of Famer Lisa Blackburn. With her 1,472 points, Reynolds is 30 points away from fourth in career scoring. Reynolds is also 10 away from second in career assists.
• Detroit Mercy has five players averaging in double figures in Horizon League play -- Reynolds (15.5 ppg), Urbanick (14.0 ppg), Cohen (13.5 ppg), Marinkovic (11.8 ppg) and Mitchell (11.3 ppg).
• Reynolds, who had a Horizon League single-game high 11 assists for this season vs. UIC, leads the HL in assists (5.5 per game), which ranks 31st in the nation.
• The Titans lead the Horizon League in defensive rebounding (30.5) and 3-point FG defense (27.4%), while ranking second in 3-point FG made (8.4), blocked shots (4.1) and field goal defense (37.4%). Detroit Mercy is third in scoring offense (73.9 ppg) and fourth in assists (15.5 per game).
• Detroit Mercy set a single-game school record with 16 3-pointers at Minnesota. The Titans have reached 15 treys in a game twice this season, also sinking 15 triples against UIC on Dec. 31.
• The red, white and blue are 13th in the NCAA in defensive rebounding (30.5 per game), 29th in 3-point field goals per game (8.2), 41st in 3-point FG defense (27.4%), 54th in scoring offense (73.9 ppg) and 67th in assists per game (15.5).

Brianne Cohen had one of the best shooting games in the HL against Green Bay, sinking 9-of-10 shots for a 90.0 percent shooting percentage.

Kelsey Mitchell (64.5%) and Cohen (60.0%) have the top two field goal percentages in HL-only games.

Nicole Urbanick ranks first in the HL in 3-pointers made per game (2.6), sinking 37 in 14 games. She also led the HL in 3-pointers made per game last season.
• Reynolds is the top active scorer in the Horizon League with her 1,472 points, which is also 35th in the NCAA among active players. She is also the active HL leader in assists with 476, which is 15th in the country among active players in Division I.
• The Titans have three games of 25 assists this season, which is the most in the
Bernard Scott era. Detroit Mercy has 25 assists in two of the three HL games.
• Detroit Mercy's 3-point field goal percentage of 55.6 in vs. UIC is also the highest in the Scott era. The Titans made 15-of-27 3-point shots against the Flames.
• The Titans lead the HL in blocks and have 20 already in four HL games.
Kelsey Mitchell posted a career-best five rejections against Oakland.

Nicole Urbanick is quickly moving up the all-time 3-pointers made list. She tied Brigid Mulroy for seventh place all-time on the career list with 160.
• Detroit Mercy is in the middle of a stretch of five games in 12 days. The Titans finish with the final three contests in that stretch at home at Calihan Hall.
All-Time Series
The Titans are 2-0 against Milwaukee under coach Scott, winning both games last season, scoring 80 or more points in each contest. Detroit Mercy earned an 89-79 win at Milwaukee, with five players scoring in double figures, before winning its season finale at home against the Panthers, 80-76. Cohen tallied a 2015-16 season-best 33 points, sinking 15-of-16 free throws, against Milwaukee.
In the game played at Milwaukee, Detroit Mercy shot a season-best 56.9 percent with five Titans scoring in double figures, led by Reynolds' 21 points. The Titans made 19-of-21 free throws in the game.
In the all-time series, the Titans are 27-24 against Milwaukee. Detroit Mercy is 12-14 in road games against the Panthers and are 8-2 in the last 10 against UWM.
Scouting Milwaukee
The Panthers are 3-2 in conference play, having just recently dropped a 75-73 contest against visiting Oakland. The Panthers rank second in the HL in scoring offense (75.8), which is just ahead of the Titans.
Milwaukee has a balanced attack led by All-Conference returner Steph Kostowicz (17.4 ppg, 8.8 rpg). Jenny Lindner (15.1 ppg) and Sierra Ford-Washington (12.1 ppg) also average in double figures. The Panthers also shoot often from deep and have made 124 3-pointers on the season and lead the Horizon League with a 36.5 shooting percentage from deep. Milwaukee also leads the HL with a 79.5 free throw percentage.
Reynolds A Candidate for Senior Class Award
Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds was selected as one of 30 Division I women's basketball student-athletes across the nation named as a Senior Class Award candidate. Reynolds is the lone men's or women's basketball student-athlete from the Horizon League to receive the distinction and receive consideration for the honor.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: Community, Classroom, Character and Competition. Each of the 30 candidates will be narrowed down to a field of 10 finalists in February.
