DETROIT (1/26/2017) -- Following a 3-0 week at Calihan Hall, the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team returns to the road this week, beginning with a Friday night contest in Dayton against Wright State University. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m. ET from the Nutter Center.
The Titans (6-2 HL) and Raiders (7-1 HL) are currently both in the top three of the Horizon League women's basketball standings at the midway point of the conference season. It's the first meeting between the two schools this season. The two teams split last year, with each squad winning on the road.
Detroit Mercy is coming off a 3-0 week in which it defeated Northern Kentucky, Youngstown State and Cleveland State. Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds was named the HL Player of the Week on Monday, while junior forward
Brianne Cohen was selected as the College Sports Madness HL Player of the Week.

• Detroit Mercy is 5-0 in Horizon League home contests this season. Overall, the Titans are 6-2 at Calihan Hall.

Rosanna Reynolds was named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks and fifth time in her career on Monday. She averaged 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game as the Titans went 3-0 at home last week.
• Reynolds is the first player in school history with 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists and is just 13 assists away from the all-time Titan mark. She became the fifth Titan in school history to surpass the 1,500-point plateau, while becoming just the second Titan player to reach 500 career assists.
• In Horizon League play, the Titans lead the league in scoring offense (73.8 ppg) assists (18.5 apg), defensive rebounding (29.3) and blocked shots (4.3 bpg).
• The Titans are among the NCAA leaders in defensive rebounding (12th, 29.5 per game), 3-point field goals per game (21st, 8.3), scoring offense (56th, 72.6 ppg) and assists per game (47th, 16.0).
• The Titans have shot 40 percent or better in 12 games this season, holding a 8-4 mark in those contests.
• Detroit Mercy allowed a season-low 49 points against Northern Kentucky last week, which is also the lowest amount allowed in the coach Scott era.
• During her career, Detroit Mercy is 16-2 when
Rosanna Reynolds scores 20 or more points.
• Reynolds has the top two assist totals this season in the Horizon League, tallying 11 vs. UIC and 12 at Milwaukee. Reynolds leads the conference in total assists (108) and assists per game (5.7).
• Both
Kelsey Mitchell (2nd, 56.5) and
Brianne Cohen (3rd, 55.7) are in the top three in the Horizon League in field goal percentage. Mitchell is No. 1 in HL-only contests with a 63.5 percentage (33-for-52 on FG).

Haleigh Ristovski is among the Horizon League leaders in steals with 32 in 19 contests. In seven league games, she has 18 in eight games (2.3 per game).
• Reynolds, who ranks 27th in the nation in assists per game (5.7), reached 100 assists in the season for the fourth time this year. Her career-best is 149.
• Reynolds is the top active scorer in the Horizon League with her 1,539 points, which is also 34th in the NCAA among active players. She is also the active HL leader in assists with 502, which is 14th in the country among active players in Division I.
• Reynolds has started all 116 games in her career and is tied-for-third with her former coach Autumn Rademacher all-time in career starts.
• Junior
Nicole Urbanick is quickly moving up the all-time 3-pointers made list and ranks seventh with 170. She is just two back of sixth place on the career list.

Nicole Urbanick ranks first in the HL in 3-pointers made per game (2.6), sinking 47 in 18 games. She is third in the conference and 44th in the NCAA with a 40.9 shooting clip from beyond the arc. In HL-only games, Urbanick has made 25-of-50 triples (50.0%).

Haleigh Ristovski and
Rosanna Reynolds are among the HL leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio once again, having been among the leaders in the past three years. Ristovski has a 3.7 mark in HL games, while Reynolds has 50 assists to 14 TO (3.6 ratio) in eight HL contests.
• Detroit Mercy is assisting on nearly 70 percent (69.1%) of its field goals in Horizon League play (148 assists on 214 field goals).
Last Time Out
Detroit Mercy improved to 5-0 in home league games and capped off a 3-0 week at Calihan Hall with a 66-54 victory over visiting Cleveland State on Sunday. With the win, the Titans improved to 3-0 against the Vikings under head coach
Bernard Scott.
Brianne Cohen sank 9-of-11 shots and finished with a season-best 24 points to lead all scorers in the game.
Nicole Urbanick added 12 points, while
Haleigh Ristovski pulled down 13 rebounds.
Gracie Roberts had one of the best games of her young career, totaling career-highs in rebounds (7) and assists (6).
Detroit Mercy shot 44.1 percent in the game, while holding CSU to a 28.8 percent shooting clip. The Titans had 19 assists and 48 rebounds in the contest.
All-Time Series
The Titans are 26-23 all-time against Wright State, in a series that began in 1994. In road games, Detroit Mercy is 11-12 against the Raiders. Detroit is 2-3 in the last five games played in Dayton, including an overtime victory last season by a 95-93 margin. In the past 10 games against Wright State, the Titans are 5-5.
Detroit Mercy earned a thrilling 95-93 overtime win at Wright State on Feb. 20 last season with
Rosanna Reynolds setting the single-game school record with 15 assists.
Nicole Urbanick (27 points) and
Brianne Cohen (26 points) combined for 53 points for the Titans in the win at WSU.
Scouting Wright State
Wright State enters Friday's game with a 7-1 HL record, winning its past six games. WSU has a 7-1 home mark. It's the opener of a five-game homestand for the Raiders, who close the season with seven of 10 at home.
Wright State has balanced scoring this season with five players averaging 9.0 points or better. Chelsea Welch leads the squad with a 17.0 ppg average, while Lexi Smith average 13.2 ppg. Smith (8.7 rpg) and Symone Simmons (8.4 rpg) both average over eight boards per game.
The Raiders rank second in the HL, giving up just 62.0 points per game, while ranking first in the conference, turning the ball over just 11.2 times per game. In league contests, Wright State is allowing 58.0 points in its first eight games.
