INDIANAPOLIS (1/30/2017) -- For the third time this year, the Horizon League has recognized
Corey Allen for his stellar performances as he was tabbed the HL's Freshman of the Week on Monday.

He also won the award on Dec. 5 and Jan. 16.

Allen averaged 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals in the Titans two games with Detroit Mercy coming away with a victory over second place and defending league champion Green Bay.

He posted 20 points in both games tallying a team-high 22 points against Milwaukee, where he also tied his season high for the fifth time with five rebounds. Allen then recorded 20 points hitting 6-of-13 from the field and 4-of-7 from long range in the win over Green Bay.

Allen currently leads all Horizon League freshmen in scoring at 13.3 points per game – 14th in the HL – and also tops the league in three-point field-goal percentage knocking down 48-of-109 for a 44.0- percent clip.He also have five 20-point games on the season.Â

The Titans will return to action on Thursday as they visit Cleveland State, the first meeting of the year between Detroit Mercy and the Vikings.Â
