DETROIT (1/4/2017) -- Join the University of Detroit Mercy Department of Athletics at Buddy's Pizza in Auburn Hills prior to the Titan women's basketball team taking on #MetroSeries rival Oakland on Saturday.

The Titans will have prizes, giveaways and more at the rally at Buddy's Pizza, located just across the street from Oakland University at 2612 N. Squirrel Road. Fans who wear the Titan red, white and blue will receive a free Detroit Mercy water bottle and get 15 percent off their Buddy's Pizza bill.

A raffle drawing with a first prize of a $50 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card will also be done for those in attendance. Two second-place winners net a $20 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card, while the first five kids from ages 5-12 get a $10 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card. Fans can also check in for 25 Fantelope points using the app on your mobile phone.

Detroit Mercy (2-0 Horizon League) and its nearby rival Oakland (2-0 HL) are both undefeated on the young conference season and are the top-two scoring teams in the league so far this season. The 2-0 league start is the first for the Titans since the 2011-12 season.

Head coach Bernard Scott's Titans defeated the Golden Grizzlies on the road last season in overtime, 82-77, on their way to going 11-7 in the Horizon League and finishing in fourth place.

It's the first basketball meeting of the 2016-17 season between the two schools. In the third year of the rivalry series, Detroit Mercy is currently trailing in the standings, 5-3, but would even up the standings with a victory on Saturday.

Opening tip is set for 3 p.m. from the O'Rena. General admission tickets are $5 for adults, while reserved seating tickets are priced at $7.
