DETROIT (1/10/2017) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team, off to its best conference start since the 2004-05 season, will look to keep that success going Wednesday night, meeting Green Bay on the road at the Kress Center.
The two squads -- Detroit Mercy at 3-0 and Green Bay at 4-0 -- are the only remaining unbeaten teams in Horizon League play to start the league season.
The game Wednesday night is set for 8 p.m. ET at the Kress Events Center. It's the first of two games in Wisconsin for the Titans next week with Detroit Mercy visiting Milwaukee on Friday for a 12 p.m. ET contest. Tickets for Wednesday's contest start at $10 for adults and $8 for senior citizens and youth.Â

• Detroit Mercy has a 3-0 start in the Horizon League for the first time since the 2004-05 season. It's just the fourth time the Titans have started league play 3-0 in school history.
• Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds was named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Monday (Jan. 9) following a 32-point, 10-rebound performance in a road victory over rival Oakland.
• The win at Oakland was the second in as many seasons for the Titans and coach Scott. Detroit Mercy out-scored the Golden Grizzlies 27-12 in the fourth quarter, earning an 80-71 triumph.
• Reynolds moved into fifth place on the all-time scoring list in the victory, passing Titan Hall of Famer Lisa Blackburn. With her 1,464 points, Reynolds is 38 points away from fourth in career scoring. Reynolds is also 13 away from second in career assists.
• Detroit Mercy has five players averaging in double figures in Horizon League play -- Reynolds (18.0 ppg), Urbanick (14.7 ppg), Marinkovic (14.3 ppg), Mitchell (14.3 ppg) and Cohen (11.3 ppg).
• Reynolds, who had a Horizon League single-game high 11 assists for this season vs. UIC, leads the HL in assists (5.6 per game), which ranks 28th in the nation.
• The Titans lead the Horizon League in blocked shots per game (4.4), defensive rebounding (30.4) and 3-point FG defense (27.4%), while ranking second in FG defense (37.3%) and 3-point FG made (8.4). Detroit Mercy is third in scoring offense (75.2 ppg) and assists (15.7 per game), among other statistics.
• Detroit Mercy set a single-game school record with 16 3-pointers at Minnesota. The Titans have reached 15 treys in a game twice this season, also sinking 15 triples against UIC on Dec. 31.
• The red, white and blue are 15th in the NCAA in defensive rebounding (30.4 per game), 21st in 3-point field goals per game (8.4), 45th in scoring offense (75.2 ppg) and 60th in assists per game (15.7).
• Graduate transfer forward
Kelsey Mitchell has scored in double figures in all three HL games and set career-highs at Oakland with 16 points and five blocks.
• The reigning Sixth Player of the Year, junior
Brianne Cohen ranks 11th in the HL in scoring (13.3 ppg) and seventh in field goal percentage (51.9).

Nicole Urbanick ranks first in the HL in 3-pointers made per game (2.6), sinking 34 in 13 games. She also led the HL in 3-pointers made per game last season.
• Reynolds is the top active scorer in the Horizon League with her 1,464 points, which is also 36th in the NCAA among active players. She is also the active HL leader in assists with 473, which is 15th in the country among active players in Division I.
• Detroit Mercy is out-scoring its opponents 275-231 in the first quarter this season. Overall this season, the Titans are out-scoring their opponents, 1,053-1,000.
• The Titans have three games of 25 assists this season, which is the most in the
Bernard Scott era. Detroit Mercy has 25 assists in two of the three HL games.
• Detroit Mercy's 3-point field goal percentage of 55.6 in vs. UIC is also the highest in the Scott era. The Titans made 15-of-27 3-point shots against the Flames.
• The Titans lead the HL in blocks and have 19 already in three HL games.
Kelsey Mitchell posted a career-best five against Oakland.
• Junior
Nicole Urbanick is quickly moving up the all-time 3-pointers made list. She is three back of Brigid Mulroy (160 treys) for seventh all-time.
Last Time Out
Detroit Mercy became the fourth team in school history to start the conference season 3-0 after defeating rival Oakland on the road, 80-71, on Saturday.
Reynolds tallied season bests with 32 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 10-of-14 from the floor.
Kelsey Mitchell added 16 points and five blocks, while
Haleigh Ristovski had nine rebounds, four assists and four steals and
Nicole Urbanick added 11 points on three triples.
The Titans trailed by six points entering the fourth quarter but used a 15-2 run to take a 68-61 lead. Detroit Mercy never looked back. Urbanick hit two big 3-pointers in the frame and Reynolds scored 20 of her points after the halftime break.
Detroit Mercy made 22-of-27 from the free throw line and shot 43.1 percent from the floor overall.
All-Time Series
Detroit Mercy is 7-45 all-time against Green Bay, last earning a victory against the Phoenix in 2012. The 70-58 win for the Titans on Feb. 9, 2012 was on the road and handed the No. 9 Phoenix their first loss of the 2011-12 season. The Titans have dropped their last 10 against Green Bay.
Scouting Green Bay
The Phoenix, receiving votes in the AP poll and the No. 1 team in the Mid-Major poll, are 4-0 in the Horizon League with wins over NKU, Wright State, Valpo and UIC. Green Bay has dropped contests to then-No. 1 Notre Dame and Wisconsin.
Mehryn Kraker is leading the team at 18.8 points per game and leads the league in scoring in HL-only contests, averaging 23.3 per game. She is shooting 66.0 percent in conference-only games. Jessica Lindstrom averages a double-double at 11.2 ppg and 10.2 rpg. Green Bay's top three scorers all shoot from downtown, with Kraker (31 treys), Lindstrom (23 triples) and Allie LeClaire (26 3-PT) combining for 80 3-pointers. On the season, Green Bay is shooting 45.8 percent on field goals, which leads the league.
Reynolds A Candidate for Senior Class Award
Senior guard
Rosanna Reynolds was selected as one of 30 Division I women's basketball student-athletes across the nation named as a Senior Class Award candidate. Reynolds is the lone men's or women's basketball student-athlete from the Horizon League to receive the distinction and receive consideration for the honor.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: Community, Classroom, Character and Competition. Each of the 30 candidates will be narrowed down to a field of 10 finalists in February.
Titan NCAA Ranks
Detroit Mercy is among the national leaders in 3-pointers made, ranking 21st overall at 8.4 per game. The Titans are 15th in the country in defensive rebounding (30.4 per game), 45th in scoring offense (75.2 ppg) and 60th in assists per game (15.7).
Individually,
Rosanna Reynolds ranks 28th in the country in assists per game (5.6), 46th in total assists (79), 58th in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.14) and 83rd in points per game (17.0).
Nicole Urbanick is 60th in the NCAA in 3-pointers made per game (2.62).
