INDIANAPOLIS (11/27/2017) -- The Titans went 2-0 last week and the Horizon League recognized the effort of redshirt junior
Kameron Chatman as he was tabbed the HL Player of the Week on Monday.
It is the first weekly conference award for Chatman.Â
Chatman was instrumental in helping the Titans extend their winning streak to three straight, including a road victory at Saint Louis and a 62-point triumph at home over Siena Heights, just missing a double-double in both games. He averaged 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 steals, while shooting 60.0 percent (18-of-30) from the field and 42.8 percent (3-of-7) from the outside.Â
He started the week with 18 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals at Saint Louis, where he also had the game-winning jumper with less than a second left in regulation. Against Siena Heights, he tied his career high with 23 points going 10-of-15 from the field with three triples and also grabbed another nine boards.Â
Riding a three-game winning streak, Detroit Mercy will be back on the road at Fort Wayne tomorrow in a 7 p.m., tip. Â
