DETROIT (12/14/2017) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team wraps up its non-conference slate with a pair of games at home, starting with a Sunday contest against in-state foe Eastern Michigan from Calihan Hall. The opening tip is set for 12 p.m. on Dick Vitale Court.
The game is set to be streamed live on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN Applications and will also be on local television on WADL TV-38. General admission tickets for the contest are $6 for adults and $4 for children and seniors.
Detroit Mercy is playing its fifth Mid-American Conference school of the 2017-18 season on Sunday and is slated to play its sixth to close out the conference slate next Thursday, Dec. 21, hosting Toledo for a 5 p.m. ET game from Calihan Hall.

Brianne Cohen surpassed 1,200 career points at Illinois, moving into 16th place on the career scoring list (1,207 points).
The Titans are playing their fifth Mid-American Conference school during the non-conference portion of their schedule. Detroit Mercy plays six MAC schools in all during the 2017-18, also hosting Toledo on Thursday, Dec. 21 in its non-conference finale.
Urbanick had a career game against the Eagles two years ago from Calihan Hall, tying a single-game school record with eight 3-pointers on her way to a career-best 32 points. She also set career-highs in field goals made (10) and field goals attempted (18). The Titans fell 85-68 to the Eagles in head coach
Bernard Scott's first season.
Last Time Out
The Titans battled wire-to-wire at Illinois on Sunday, Dec. 10, falling in the final minutes at the State Farm Center, 73-65. Detroit Mercy trailed by just one point, 44-43, after three quarters and cut the fourth-quarter deficit to one possession numerous times, but the Fighting Illini made 14-of-15 free throws in the fourth quarter to help put away the contest.
Detroit Mercy showed its defensive mettle during the game, holding Illinois to just 25 points in the first half and forcing 10 first-half Fighting Illini turnovers.
Senior forward
Brianne Cohen tallied the sixth 20-point game of the season, scoring a game-high 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Freshman
Lexey Tobel nearly had her first career double-double with 13 points and a career-best eight rebounds. Sophomore
Ashley Miller had a career-high seven boards.
Detroit Mercy tied a season-high with 41 rebounds and shot well from the free throw line, hitting 18-of-22 shots for a 81.8 shooting percentage.
Scouting Eastern Michigan
The Eagles are 2-7 through nine games in 2017-18 and have dropped the past seven contests. EMU has lost two games to Horizon League squads, falling to Cleveland State by a 77-65 margin on Nov. 16 and dropping a 73-70 contest at UIC on Dec. 8. The Eagles most recently fell to Indiana State on Sunday, 65-56. It's wins were over Florida A&M and Rochester College.
The Eagles have four players that average better than 9.0 points per game -- Danielle Minott (12.0 ppg), Courtnie Lewis (11.0 ppg), Micah Robinson (9.7 ppg) and Sasha Dailey (9.6 ppg). Minott is also the leading rebounder at 5.6 boards per contest, while Robinson has a team-best 3.6 assists per game. Dailey has 26 steals through the first nine games.
As a squad, Eastern Michigan grabs 40.0 boards per game and averages better than 10 steals per game. EMU is shooting 37.3 percent from the floor and 28.5 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

Urbanick Approaching Milestones
Titan senior sharp-shooter
Nicole Urbanick is nearing the 1,000-point plateau and would become the 22nd player in program history with 1,000 career points with just 35 more points. Urbanick just recently moved into third place in 3-pointers made and was the fourth Titan in school history to sink 200 career treys. She has 203 triples in her Titan career and is 28 off the all-time mark for 3-pointers made in a career.
Cohen Among NCAA Leaders
Senior forward
Brianne Cohen ranks in the top 120 in the nation in six different statistical categories entering Sunday's game against Eastern Michigan.
Cohen ranks No. 16 in free throws made (54), while ranking 24th in free throw attempts (65) among NCAA Division I players. She is also 99th in free throw percentage (83.1) and 82nd in points per game (18.0). Her field goal percentage (50.0) is 105th in the country.
Cohen is no stranger to being among the nation's leaders in field goal percentage as she was 12th in the country in each of the past two seasons. Cohen led the Horizon League and ranked 12th in the NCAA last season with a 60.1 field goal percentage. She shot 65.0 percent during Horizon League contests in 2016-17.
