DETROIT (12/20/2017) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team closes out its non-conference schedule on Thursday, hosting Mid-American Conference program Toledo for a 5 p.m. contest at Calihan Hall.
The game is set to be streamed live on ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN Applications with the Voice of the Titans,
Denny Kapp, calling all of the action. Tickets for the game are $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and children.
The Titans are meeting their sixth Mid-American Conference (MAC) school this season and third at home.

Detroit Mercy and Toledo are meeting for the 28th time in women's basketball, squaring off one year to the day from the most recent match-up. The Titans fell 72-66 on the road last season at Toledo. The red, white and blue are 9-18 all-time against the Rockets and hold a 5-7 mark in games played at Calihan Hall.
Senior guard
Nicole Urbanick is nearing the 1,000-point milestone for the Titans and is just 24 points off the mark (976 career points) entering Thursday's game against Toledo. Urbanick would become the 22nd player in school history to score 1,000 career points. She ranks third all-time in career 3-pointers made (205).
The Titans are playing their sixth Mid-American Conference school during the non-conference portion of their schedule. Detroit Mercy played road games with Miami, Kent State and Western Michigan, while hosting Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan.
Detroit Mercy opens the Horizon League slate after the Christmas holiday, beginning their league schedule on the road at Youngstown State (Dec. 28) and Cleveland State (Dec. 30). The Titans host Northern Kentucky (Jan. 4) and Wright State (Jan. 6) after the new year for their first league home contests.

Lexey Tobel posted a career-high 19 as the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team saw visiting Eastern Michigan go on a late run to take the game, 78-76, from Calihan Hall on Sunday.
Senior
Nicole Urbanick added 11 points, three rebounds and three assists. Tobel grabbed seven boards, had three blocks and two steals, while junior
Lola Ristovski registered nine points, five rebounds and a team-high four assists.
Tobel went 11-for-11 from the free throw line and Detroit Mercy shot 20-of-29 as a team (69 percent). Tobel's 11 consecutive makes in a game were the most in a single game since Rosanna Reynolds went 12-for-12 from the foul line on Jan. 28, 2016 at Milwaukee. The Titans shot 43.1 percent from the field and 12-of-27 (44.4%) from the outside.
Scouting Toledo
The Rockets are 8-3 on the season, which includes a 3-3 mark in games played away from Toledo. The Rockets went 1-1 at the West Palm Invitational on Dec. 17-18, defeating Southern by an 81-76 margin and losing to Western Kentucky, 70-56. UT also defeated Cleveland State at home, 65-56, on Dec. 9.
Kaayla McIntyre leads the team in scoring at 14.3 points per game, while Jay Bravo-Harriott also averages in double figures at 11.2 points per game. McIntyre also leads the squad in boards at 8.4 boards per contest. The Rockets have six players with 20 or more assists on the season with Mikaela Boyd leading the team (43 assists).
McIntyre shoots 64.4 percent from the floor and as a team Toledo is shooting 42.5 percent on the season. Boyd has a team-high 31 steals and McIntyre has a team-best 19 blocks.
All-Time Series
The Titans and Toledo have met 27 times previously in women's basketball, with the Rockets holding an 18-9 series advantage. Detroit Mercy is 5-7 at home against the Rockets. The Titans are 5-5 in their past 10 games against UT. The two sides haven't played in Calihan Hall since the 2007-08 season.
Detroit Mercy dropped a 72-66 contest at Toledo last year on Dec. 21, falling on the road in Ohio.
Brianne Cohen had 17 points and seven rebounds, while
Anja Marinkovic sank four 3-pointers and added 12 points off the bench for the Titans last season.
Titans vs. the MAC
The Titans are 87-86 all-time against the MAC. Detroit Mercy went 2-2 last season against the Mid-American Conference under coach Scott and play the MAC six times during the non-conference season in 2017-18.
Detroit Mercy has played Western Michigan the most of all of the MAC schools, meeting the in-state foe 32 times with 14 wins. The Titans have double-digit wins against EMU (15), CMU (14) and Bowling Green (10).

Brianne Cohen ranks in the top 150 in the nation in six different statistical categories, while freshman
Lexey Tobel ranks 72nd in the country in free throw percentage (84.4).
Cohen ranks No. 21 in free throws made (56), while ranking 27th in free throw attempts (69) among NCAA Division I players. She is 95th in the nation in field goal percentage (50.0). Cohen is 109th in the country with her 17.0 points per game.
