DETROIT (12/26/2017) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team received an early Christmas present as the Titans locker room renovation project was completed in mid-December.
The newly renovated locker room features new lockers, a new floor with the Titan logo, a refueling station, lounge and rest area and pictures highlighting the great moments and players in school history.
"We relentlessly strive to advance Detroit Mercy Titans basketball every day in the Detroit Mercy way!" said head coach
Bacari Alexander '99. "Our athletic administration, alums and friends of our program continue to invest in our student athlete's experience and we can't do it without them. Our student-athletes were appreciative and impressed with having a first-class gathering place to enjoy for seasons to come."
The project was made possible through private funding and is the latest of facility updates for Titan athletics, which includes updated men's and women's soccer locker rooms, the building of an academic center and upgrades to Titan Field and Buysse Ballpark.Â
