DETROIT (2/17/2017) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team will play its third game in seven days as the Titans meet Mercer on a neutral field on Saturday, Feb. 18.
The Titans and Bears will play at the Transylvania University Athletic Complex in Lexington, Kentucky, and game time is slated for 3 p.m.
There will be no live stats or live video very limited tweeting about the contest.
Detroit Mercy has opened the season with a pair of tough losses to two Big Ten schools falling to RV/No. 17 Ohio State on the road and Michigan at home.
The Titan have already increased their scoring from a year ago by nearly three goals a game in their first two games tallying 9.0 to start 2017.
Sophomore transfer
Matthew Vangalen leads the offense with nine points on six assists and three goals, while junior
Sean Birney has netted four goals so far.

Sam Horton each have two caused turnovers to lead the defense and senior goalie
Jason Weber has made 21 saves.
The next home game for the red, white and blue will be on Thursday, Feb. 23, as the Titans host Jacksonville at Noon at Ultimate Soccer Arenas.

ALL-TIME VS. MERCER
The Titans are 4-1 all-time against Mercer, but the lone loss was last year, 9-8, on the road.
Detroit Mercy has seen some great performances against the Bears as senior goalie
Jason Weber tied a MAAC record with 28 saves in a 12-7 victory in 2015, while Shayne Adams '15 tied the school record with seven goals in a game against Mercer in 2011.
AGAINST THE SOCON
The Titans are 11-17 all-time against current teams from the Southern Conference, including 4-1 versus Mercer and VMI as well as 1-2 against Jacksonville, 0-3 versus Air Force and 1-7 against Bellarmine, three future opponents on the schedule.
IN THE STATE OF KENTUCKY
Detroit Mercy will make its fifth trip to the state of Kentucky as the previous four games were against Bellarmine in Louisville.
This game in Lexington, Kentucky, is being billed as the first-ever Division I lacrosse game in central Kentucky.
