VS. MILWAUKEE
The teams have split the season series in each of the last three years.

Milwaukee leads the all-time series, 26-23, and is 3-1 in Horizon League Tournament games against the Titans.

LOOKING AHEAD
A win for the Titans would set them up to battle the second-seeded Valparaiso Crusaders on Saturday, March 4, at 8 p.m., at Joe Louis Arena to see who will advance to the semifinals.

BACK AT THE JOE
It is the last year of Joe Louis Arena, a facility that the Titans helped usher in back in 1979.

The first event ever held was on December 12, 1979, as the University of Detroit and the University of Michigan met on the hardwood, with the Wolverines coming away with an 85-72 victory in front of over 12,000 fans.

#MOTORCITYMADNESS
The Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships - #MotorCityMadness - will take place just 9.2 miles away from the Detroit Mercy campus.

2017 marks the final year the championships at Joe Louis Arena before moving to the state-of-the-art Little Caesars Arena, currently under construction in downtown Detroit.

Over 20,900 fans attended the four-day tournament last year, the first neutral-site HL men's basketball championship since 2003.

Not only will the new facility house the Horizon League men's and women's basketball championships, it will also be the site of the first and second round of the 2018 men's basketball NCAA championship, hosted by Detroit Mercy from March 16-18.

HL TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Detroit Mercy is 34-33 all-time in the Horizon League tournament, and has won a game in 20 of its 36 trips to the conference dance.

HL HISTORY OF DETROIT MERCY VS. MILWAUKEE
The Titans and Panthers have met four previous times in the Horizon League tournament as Detroit Mercy is 1-3 in those contests.

Twice the conference championship came down to the two programs as Milwaukee defeated Detroit Mercy 58-50 in 2004 and 59-58 in 2005.

THE TITANS AS #7 SEED
The Titans are the seventh seed for the fifth time in school history and are 2-5 all-time as the seventh seed, advancing to the semifinals with a pair of wins in 2009-10.

THE HL HISTORY OF #7 SEED
The No. 7 seed has not been too kind to teams in the tournament as it has never advanced to the championship game.

Only one team seeded seventh or lower has made the championship in the 1994-95 eighth-seeded Wright State Raiders, who won three games before falling in the title contest.

All-time, the No. 7 seed is 13-32 with nine trips to the semifinals.

In fact, the No. 7 seed has lost in its first game in six-straight years with the last No. 7 team to win a game being the Detroit Mercy squad of 2010, when the Titans beat Valparaiso and Green Bay before falling to Wright State in the semifinals.

ALLEN, HOGAN EARN HL AWARDS
Corey Allen was tabbed the Horizon League Freshmen of the Year, while junior Jaleel Hogan was Second Team All-HL as the conference released its award on Wednesday.

Allen is just the seventh Titan to earn the rookie accolade - which was called Newcomer of the Year until 2015 - and the second true freshman after Ray McCallum in 2011.

Hogan was honored for the first time in his career, which also marks the eighth-straight year a Titan has been selected All-League.

UNSTOPPABLE
Junior Jaleel Hogan is leading the Horizon League and 20th in the nation in field-goal percentage at 59.7 percent.

His current mark sits fourth in school history in that category.

He is also currently second in school history in career field-goal percentage at 59.2 percent trailing only Eli Holman '12 (60.5%).

Last year, Hogan led the team and was second in the Horizon League in field goal percentage hitting 132-of-230 shots for 57.4 percent, good for ninth in school history.

JALETHAL
With his 12 points his last time out at Green Bay, junior Jaleel Hogan has now been in double figures in 24 games this season, which includes six 20+ point contests - all in conference play.

He had 24 points against Cleveland State on Feb. 21 and tied his career high with 12 rebounds against the Vikings for his seventh career double-double and fifth this season.

To start the conference season, he posted 22 points on 10-of-15 from the field against NKU.

He had a terrific game at Oakland tallying 39 points on 17-of-24 from the field, all career highs, and had 23 points in the rematch at home against the Golden Grizzlies.

Hogan has also tallied a game-high 28 points in the win over Green Bay and had 21 points in the win at Youngstown State.

Hogan is leading the team and is ninth in the HL in scoring at 15.4 ppg., while standing second on the squad and 10th in the HL in rebounding at 6.0 per night.

In his 17 HL games - he did not play at NKU - he is tallying 16.9 points - tied for fifth in the league - and 6.9 rebounds, seventh in the conference.

Corey Allen is the highest scoring freshmen in the Horizon League at 14.3 points per game - ninth in the HL and top 20 in the nation among all freshmen.

He is also second in the league in three-point field-goal percentage (45.2%) - hitting 76-of-168 on the season - and is third in three-point field goals per game (2.6).

In Horizon League only games, he is 11th in scoring with 15.4 a night and is second in three-point field goals (2.6) and fifth in three-point field-goal percentage (42.1%).

COREY TOP 10 IN THE NATION
Freshman Corey Allen is not only one of the top shooters in the Horizon League, he is currently 10th in the nation at 45.2 percent.

His 2.62, 3-point field goals per game is also 73rd in the country among all players.

CHASING A SCHOOL RECORD
Freshman Corey Allen is currently second in school history in single-season three-point field goal percentage ahead of some great shooters in Rashad Phillips, Anton Wilson, Jon Goode and Derrick Hayes.

He is behind only Archie Tullos for the best single-season mark in school history as Tullos shot 48.1 percent (66-of-131) in 1986-87.

BANG, BANG
Freshman Corey Allen and sophomore Josh McFolley are each having great years shooting from the outside and have been jostling for position in the Titan record books.

Allen currently has 76, 3-pointers and is now eighth in school history, while McFolley is just outside the top 10 with 70 triples on the year.

Allen is currently third in the Horizon League and 73rd in the nation with 2.6 treys per game, while McFolley is tied for fifth in the HL and 155th in the country with 2.3 per contest.

YOU LITTLE THIEF
Josh McFolley has recorded a steal in 25 games this season, including 18 multi-steal contests and nine with at least three takeaways.

McFolley registered a career-best five steals versus Green Bay on Jan. 29 and tied that mark with five steals at Youngstown State on Feb. 4.

He leads the Horizon League and is 48th in the nation with 1.9 steals per game.

His 57 total steals is tied for 10th in school history and the 28th most at the DI level.

JENKINS IN TOP 10 FOR 3'S
Senior Chris Jenkins is currently seventh in school history in career three-point field goal percentage at 40.2 percent (98-of-244).

He shot 46.0 percent (23-of-50) as a sophomore in 2014-15 and 43.2 percent (51-of-118) last season.

IN A ZONE
Freshman Corey Allen has notched double figures in scoring 19 times this season, including a Titan true freshman record of 33 points against Fort Wayne - where he scored 27 points in the second half.

After going off for 24 points at Green Bay his last time out - 17 in the second half - he now has nine 20-point games on the year and six in the last 10 games, including a streak of four in a row at one point.

He tallied 21 points against UIC on Feb. 17.

Allen posted a game-high 27 points at Youngstown St. on Feb. 4, going 10-of-16 overall and 6-of-10 from three, and a team-high 24 points at Cleveland St. on Feb. 2, where he was 8-of-17 overall and 6-of-9 from three.

The week before, he averaged 21.0 points en route to the HL Freshman of the Week honors after scoring 20 against Green Bay and a team-high 22 points against Milwaukee - 16 in the second half.

In his first nine games, he averaged 9.7 points with four games in double figures and a 20-point game, but in his last 20 games, he is tallying 16.4 points on 44.8 percent shooting from the field and 45.5 percent from three with 15 games in double figures and eight 20-point outings.

CAREER NIGHT FOR JOSH
Josh McFolley recorded his seventh career 20-point game with a game-high 22 points at Milwaukee last week.

He now has six of those 20-point games this season, including a great stretch where he recorded back-to-back 20-point games with 25 points at Wright State and a career-best 26 points against Youngstown State

He was especially effective from the outside nailing a career-high 8-of-11 against the Penguins and 6-of-11 at WSU.

His 26-point effort against YSU bested his previous high of 25 points at ETSU earlier in the season, where he was 8-of-17 from the field and 7-of-9 from behind the arc.

He also hit 20-point territory with 21 against Oakland on Feb. 10 and 24 in the win over WKU, where he was 6-of-9 from three.

McFolley now has 16 career games with at least three triples in a game, including eight this season.

He has 70 treys on the season - after hitting just 32 last year.

HIGH SCORING MCFOLLEY
Sophomore Josh McFolley is third on the team and 12th in the Horizon League in scoring at 14.0 points per game.

He is also tied for fifth in the HL in three-point field goals per game (2.3), tied for seventh in free throw percentage (81.0%) and 16th in three-point field-goal percentage (37.2%).

CALM, COOL & COLLECTIVE
Senior Chris Jenkins is currently sixth in the Horizon League and 98th in the nation in free-throw percentage (82.4%) and just saw an incredible streak come to an end.

He had made 38-straight free throws until missing the sixth attempt of his 9-of-11 effort against Cleveland State on Feb. 21

Prior to that, he was perfect in 2017 as his last miss came on Dec. 31 against Wright State.

In fact, he actually started the season 18-of-27 (66.6%) at the line in his first seven games, but has hit 66-of-75 (88.0%) since.

HARD WORK PAYS OFF
Senior walk-on Patrick Robinson Jr. has been with the team for two years and has seen limited playing time, but he has been ready when called upon.

He was in double figures for the fourth time in the last six games with 11 points at Green Bay and that was after accomplishing that just once in his first 24 career games.

He was 3-of-6 from the field and 3-of-5 from downtown against the Phoenix with three assists, two rebounds and two blocks.

Robinson Jr. was 3-of-5 from the field - all from three - and ended with 11 points, three rebounds and first career block at Milwaukee last week.

He tallied a team and career-high 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting and 4-of-7 from three along with grabbing a career-best five boards against Valparaiso on Feb. 19, where he also made his first career start.

Against Youngstown State on Jan. 16, he scored 10 points going 4-of-7 from the field and 2-of-4 from behind the arc.

He also had 10 points against Oakland on Feb. 10, where he hit a pair of triples.

He now has 34 career field goals and 33 have been scored this year, while 26 of those 33 have been from three.

HITTING THE GLASS
After getting outrebounded for much of the season, the Titans have won the battle of the boards twice in their last three games with a +12 margin against Cleveland State (40-28) and a +8 mark at Milwaukee (33-25).

On the season, Detroit Mercy has won the rebounding battle on eight occasions.

HIGH POWERED OFFENSE
The Titans have totaled at least 70 points in 21 games this season, including hitting 80 points 12 times and 90 on five occasions.

The Titans are third in the Horizon League in offense at 77.6 ppg., - 85th in the nation - but have raised that to 79.2 in HL games, second in the conference in league-only games.

The Titans are also second in the HL in three-point field-goal percentage (37.4%), third three-point field goals per game (8.2) and fifth in field-goal percentage (44.8%),

LONG DISTANCE OFFENSE
The Titans nailed 15-of-30 from three-point range against Fort Wayne, the most since setting a school record with 18 against Milwaukee on Feb. 26, 2000. The 15 triples are also tied for the most in the HL this season.

With 10 triples its last time out at Green Bay, Detroit Mercy has now reached double-digit 3-pointers in nine games on the year, including 13 at Wright State, 14 against Youngstown State, 12 at Valparaiso and 10 against Oakland.

GETTING THE FREE ONES
Despite struggling at the line for much of the season, the Titans have made major strides in the last three games connecting on 81.8 percent (72-of-88) in that span.

The hot streak started in the home win against Cleveland State as the Titans went 25-of-33 (75.8%). They followed that up with 26-of-31 (83.9%) at Milwaukee and 21-of-24 (87.5%) at Green Bay.

The 26 made free throws against the Panthers were the most by Detroit Mercy since going 28-of-37 against Wright State last season.

Detroit Mercy sank 22 free throws at Oakland (22-of-27) on Jan. 13 as well as against Green Bay on Jan. 29 (22-of-35).

Detroit Mercy was also 20-of-21 at NKU on Jan. 22 for a 95.2 percent clip, the highest ever in school history when attempting at least 20 free throws in a game.

ALMOST A TRIPLE DOUBLE
Senior Jarod Williams almost made Titan history with the first triple-double since 1977 as he tallied eight points, a career-high nine assists and 10 rebounds against Cleveland State on Feb. 21.

The last triple-double was by Terry Tyler, who had 20 points, 23 rebounds and 12 blocks against Eastern Michigan.

He followed that performance against CSU with seven points and two assists at Milwaukee and nine points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals at Green Bay.

In the last three games - since he was inserted into the starting line-up - he is averaging 8.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.

CJ DOES IT ALL
Senior Chris Jenkins is well known for his all-around play and is among the Titan leaders in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals.

He is fourth on the team in scoring (11.7 ppg.) -19th in the HL - while topping the squad on the boards (6.8 rpg.) - sixth in the HL. He is also fourth with 1.5 assists per game.

He just posted his ninth career double-double and the fifth this season with 12 points and 13 rebounds at Milwaukee last week.

Jenkins tallied a season-high 25 points - one off his career high - as he was 6-of-12 from the field, 4-of-5 from three and 9-of-11 at the free line along with adding seven rebounds against Cleveland State on Feb. 21.

He has now scored in double figures in 17 games on the season with three 20-point games and five double-doubles - one of just eight HL players with at least five double-doubles on the year.

He had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds at Wright State on Jan. 20. He also posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds at Valparaiso on Jan. 8.

The game before, Detroit Mercy posted a season-high 59.2 percent (29-of-49) against Cleveland State, the best shooting performance by the Titans since recording 68.2-percent (30-of-44) at Youngstown State in 2015

The Titans have now reached 50.0 percent from the field six times this year (52.2% at Milwaukee, 59.2% vs. Cleveland State, 53.2% at Youngstown State, 52.5% vs. Green Bay, 52.4% vs. WKU and 50.0% vs. Wright State).
