MACON, Ga. (3/7/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Mercer University on Wednesday morning.
The Titans, who are beginning a three-game road trip over spring break, dropped the doubles point as Mercer took all three decisions. The Bears kept the momentum going in singles by taking five of six matches.

Nynke Van Der Goot led the Titans with a victory in straight sets from the fifth position. Van Der Goot posted wins of 6-2 and 6-4 to tally Detroit Mercy's lone point.
With the loss, Detroit Mercy falls to 3-5 on the season. The Titans will look to bounce back with a win as they return to action on Wednesday against Kennesaw State. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
