BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (4/19/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's tennis team earned a tough 4-3 road win at Oakland University on Wednesday afternoon from Bloomfield Tennis and Fitness.
Detroit Mercy dropped the doubles point, but bounced back to take four of six singles matches and earn the road victory over Metro Series Rival Oakland.

Anna Davydova picked up a win in straight sets at No. 1 singles, as did freshman
Marie Maitrot at No. 2 singles to spark the Titan rally.
Oakland picked up wins at Nos. 3 and 6, but senior

Pauline Van Herck picked up wins at Nos. 4 and 5 to give the Titans their third straight 4-3 win.
The win evens the Metro Series standings at 12 apiece for both Detroit Mercy and Oakland, while increasing the Titans' playoff hopes as Detroit Mercy now sits at 5-2 in Horizon League play with two matches remaining.
Detroit Mercy hits the road for the final two regular season matches, first visiting UIC on Saturday, Apr. 22, and wrapping up with Valparaiso on Sunday, Apr. 23.
