DETROIT (6/12/2017) -- The University of Detroit Mercy Department of Athletics along with one of its partners in Good Problem Productions added another trophy to their legacy in a 2017 Michigan Emmy.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Michigan Chapter held its 39th Annual Emmy Award show this past Saturday, June 10, at the Sound Board Theater at Motor City Casino.Â
The Titans and Good Problem Productions earned the award in the Environment category for its video segment titled "Saving Home Court - Basketball & the Flint Water Crisis."
The video showed efforts made by the men's and women's basketball teams in 2016 to help those affected by the Flint Water Crisis.Â
The Michigan Emmy was the third in school history joining the Titan Court Report in the Sports Program Series category in 2012 and the Legends & Traditions video for Outstanding Documentary (Historical) in 2013. Â
Good Problem Productions also partnered on those award-winning projects.Â
