DETROIT (6/29/2017) -- It was a busy week in historic Calihan Hall from June 15-21 as the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball program hosted an Elite Camp and Team Camp on campus.
The events proved to be highly successful as over 1,400 kids from all over the state of Michigan as well as neighboring states visited and showed off their basketball skills on the Titan home court.
"I'm really excited to see our camps grow in such a short time from the previous summer!" said head coach
Bacari Alexander '99. "We continue to promote and expose our brand to more people in the basketball community throughout the state and region as it is a very exciting time here at Detroit Mercy. We will continue to add more camp and clinic options as we grow the program each year."
The Elite Camp saw over 60 talented players perform intense individual workouts on the court, with the Titan coaching staff evaluating all players. The camp also provided a NCAA Rules Education and strength and conditioning session.
The Titans will host another skills camp on August 9 and interested parties can sign up by

The Team Camp allowed young programs the ability to compete against some of the best high school and AAU teams in the area with three guaranteed games and a playoff competition.
The University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball program and the Athletic Department would like to thank all those that came out to participate and look forward to seeing everyone back in Calihan Hall during the basketball season.
