#TitanTop10 - Reynolds Finishes Standout, Record-Breaking Career

DETROIT (7/18/17) – From July 10-21, DetroitTitans.com will release the Top 10 Moments of 2016-17 as voted on by members of the Detroit Mercy athletic staff. Each day, a new moment will be posted on DetroitTitans.com as well as on all of the Titan social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram).

Women's basketball standout Rosanna Reynolds comes in at No. 4 in the #TitanTop10 after finishing a record-breaking career in the red, white and blue. Reynolds helped lead the Titans to the 2017 Horizon League Championship game during the 2016-17 season and became the all-time career leader in assists in the process.

Reynolds, a senior captain for the Titans this past season, surpassed many milestones and broke Jalesa Jone's career assists record, establishing a new mark with 552 career dimes. She also moved into third place in career scoring at 1,745 points and became the first player in school history to surpass the 1,500 points, 500 assists and 500 rebounds milestone. She finished her career with the most starts as a Titan at 129 and ranks in the top 10 in many statistical categories.

The Canton, Mich. native and Divine Child High School graduate earned her second-straight First Team All-Horizon League laurel and also became just the second player in school history to earn three All-Conference accolades throughout her career. Reynolds also was the only Horizon League player -- men's or women's -- to be selected as a national candidate for the Senior Class Award.

She saved some of her best work for the Horizon League Championship title game run and was voted to the All-Horizon League Tournament Team following the title game against Green Bay. Reynolds averaged 18.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists during the three games in the Horizon League Championship and scored 25 points, her 10th 20-point effort of the season, in the championship contest against the Phoenix.

The Co-President's Award winner for 2016-17, Reynolds received many other accolades during her storied, five-year Titan career. She was the Co-Horizon League Scholar Athlete of the Winter in 2015-16 after a standout junior season on the court and in the classroom. She twice received the Dad Butler Award from the Titan Athletic Department for her dedication and perseverance in rehabilitating and coming back from an injury. Reynolds also earned the Titan Club Award and Larry Bleach Award from the Athletic Department for her performance on the court and in the classroom as well as in the weight room.

Reynolds was recently featured in Detroit Mercy's Spiritus magazine during the spring and earned her second degree from the University -- a Master's in Business Administration in May. She left an impactful and memorable mark on the Detroit Mercy women's basketball program.
