DETROIT (9/28/2017) -- Get a first look at the University of Detroit Mercy men's and women's basketball teams on Friday, Oct. 20, as the Department of Athletics hosts its annual "Hoop Night in the D" basketball event from Calihan Hall.
Admission into the event is free and is set to begin at 7 p.m. on Oct. 20. The doors will open at 6 p.m. for a "Taste of Detroit," with several area and local restaurants in attendance for the night with free samples of food and beverages. A full list will be provided at a later date.
Help the Titans celebrate the 65th anniversary of Calihan Hall with the unveiling of the Titan men's and women's basketball teams.

Students and fans in attendance will be eligible to win prizes, including $200 in Visa gift cards. Both Titan basketball teams will take part in skills competitions, a 3-point contest and other scrimmages and games. A live DJ will also be in attendance for the event.
The Titan men's basketball squad is entering its second season under head coach
Bacari Alexander '99, while the Detroit Mercy women's basketball team is under the guidance of head coach
Bernard Scott in his third season. Practices for both teams are set to get underway this weekend.
