ALL-TIME MATCH-UP
  • This is just the fifth career meeting between the two schools as NKU leads the all-time series, 3-1, sweeping the match-up last year.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
  • The Titan homestand continues as Detroit Mercy welcomes Cleveland State and Youngstown State into historic Calihan Hall. The Titans will battle the Vikings on Wednesday and the Penguins on Friday.

CALIHAN HALL TURNS 65
  • The 2017-18 season marks the 65th anniversary of historic Calihan Hall.
  • The dedication of the University's Memorial Building, as it was known back then, took place May 25, 1952. The first basketball game was played Dec. 2 of that year when the U-D men beat Kalamazoo, 75-61.
  • In 1977, the name was changed to Calihan Hall in honor of the Titans' first basketball All-American, the late Bob Calihan.
  • On Dec. 5, 2011, the floor of Calihan Hall was dedicated to former coach Dick Vitale.

Fans can also purchase tickets by calling or visiting their favorite school's box office.
  • Ticket prices for Motor City Madness, which will take place March 2-6, begin at $15 per day
  • Last season, 29,240 fans were in attendance, which ranked 12th out of 32 DI conferences.

TOUGH NON-CONFERENCE SLATE
  • The 13 opponents on the Titan non-conference schedule combined to go 257-205 (55.6%) last season, and the 11 DI foes are 105-67 (61.1%) already on the year.
  • That number has the Titan non-conference schedule ranked 56th overall in the nation.

TAKING ADVANTAGE
  • Despite its 15-of-25 effort against Wright State on Friday, Detroit Mercy has done a great job at the free throw line connecting on 74.9 percent, third in the HL and 44th in the country.
  • Detroit Mercy has hit 80.0 percent or more at the line in seven games, including some great performances in 18-of-22 at Virginia Tech, 20-of-23 versus Seattle, 13-of-15 in the road win at Saint Louis, 12-of-14 versus Toledo and 17-of-20 against Western Michigan.
  • Some of the top free throw shooters include Jermaine Jackson Jr. (92.7%, 38-of-41), Kameron Chatman (86.7%, 52-of-60),  Corey Allen (80.4%, 45-of-56) and Josh McFolley (78.8%, 41-of-52).
  • In fact, Jackson Jr. is second in the HL at the charity stripe and would be top 15 in the nation, but does not have enough makes to qualify.
  • He had a streak of 17 made in a row before missing one against ETSU and had another streak of 11 in a row before missing one against Wright State.

HIGH POWERED OFFENSE

  • The seven rebounds tied for the team lead, while his six defensive caroms led the team.
  • He tallied a season-high 25 points at Green Bay - where he was 8-of-14 from the field with a season-high seven 3-pointers - and with his points against Wright State, he has now scored in double digits in 11 games on the season

  • On the season, he is second on the team in scoring at 15.6 points per game - seventh in the HL - and ranks second on the team and sixth in the league in three-point shooting (40.3%) as well as third on the team in overall shooting (45.9%).

WAY TO REEK

KAM'S THE MAN

  • At Saint Louis on Nov. 22, he posted 18 points and nine rebounds, but his biggest play was the game-winning shot with one second left.
  • He tallied a career-high 31 points with 10 rebounds and three steals at Fort Wayne on Nov. 28, going a career-best 11-of-15 from the field and 5-of-6 from behind the arc.

  • Before that, he posted his seventh career double-double - and first as a Titan - with a season-high 11 points and 10 rebounds at Milwaukee and that was off a nine-point performance at Green Bay.
  • On the season, he is averaging 6.1 points and 3.6 rebounds, while shooting 56.4 percent from the field.
