DETROIT (2/18/2018) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball hosts Metro Series rival Oakland for its final home basketball game of the 2017-18 season on Monday night. The game may be seen live via ESPN3.com and the WatchESPN Applications.
The Titans will honor their three seniors --
Brianne Cohen,
Cortney Williams and
Nicole Urbanick -- on Senior Night prior to the 7 p.m. contest from Calihan Hall.
Detroit Mercy is also hosting a "Beat Cancer" weekend with Monday's Pink Game wrapping up the week. Proceeds from all three games in this homestand go towards Gilda's Club Metro Detroit, a cancer support organization based in Royal Oak.

Monday's game features two of the top 3-point shooting teams in the Horizon League with Oakland ranking second in triples per game (7.3) and the Titans just back in third (6.9 treys per game) in the Horizon League. Detroit Mercy has 180 triples this season, just 20 away from a fourth-straight season of sinking 200 or more.
Senior guard
Nicole Urbanick tied the all-time mark for 3-pointers made in Titan history, sinking two treys in last Thursday's win over UIC to reach 231 career triples. Urbanick is tied with former Titan Senee Shearer for first all-time. She is just one 3-pointer away from establishing a new Titan record.
Detroit Mercy closes out the regular season on the road next week -- visiting Milwaukee and Green Bay in Wisconsin on Friday, Feb. 23 and Sunday, Feb. 25, respectively. The Titans then return home to prepare for the Horizon League Championship, held this season at Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit.
The Titans tallied eight blocks against UIC on Thursday to surpass the 100-block plateau for the third-straight season. Detroit Mercy leads the Horizon League in total blocks (103) and blocked shots per game (4.0).
Last Time Out
The Titans suffered a 91-59 setback to visiting IUPUI on Saturday afternoon, falling in the first game between the new league foes at Calihan Hall.
Sophomore guard
Anja Marinkovic led Detroit Mercy in scoring for the second consecutive game, sinking four 3-pointers and scoring a team-high 17 points. Senior forward
Brianne Cohen added 13 points for the Titans, while junior guard
Gracie Roberts scored a career-high eight points.
Roberts was 3-of-4 from the floor, while Oatis finished 3-for-3 for seven points. Urbanick had five assists and no turnovers, while Roberts led Detroit Mercy in rebounds with five and steals with two. Marinkovic hit 4-of-7 3-pointers in the contest.
Overall, Detroit Mercy shot 38 percent from the floor (21-of-55), while IUPUI was 33-of-64 (51.6 percent) from the field during the contest. The Jaguars had the advantage in rebounding (45-26) and also went 16-of-21 from the free throw line.

Detroit Mercy is 15-11 all-time against Oakland. The Titans are 3-2 against the Golden Grizzlies under head coach
Bernard Scott. Detroit Mercy is 1-1 in home games under Scott with the Titans falling in the first season, before picking up a win over OU last season at Calihan Hall.
