Saw action in two tournaments in his final season as a Titan… Averaged a 79.3 in his six rounds… Carded a 245 (84-82-79) for a share of 64th at the Cleveland State Invitational… Tallied a career-best 231 (76-79-76), tying for 28th at the Detroit Titans Invitational… His opening and closing round 76 in that tournament was a season low… A four-year member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and was also named to the Horizon League's Fall and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.
2011-12:
Saw action in three events on the year and ended the season with an 85.0 average… Finished 45th at Bowling Green’s John Piper Invitational with a season-low 240 (78, 80, 82)…His opening-round 78 was also his lowest of the season…Was in the starting line-up at DePaul’s John Dallio taking 76th with a 267 (83, 88, 96)…Placed 69th at the Detroit Titans Invitational totaling a 258 (82, 87, 89)… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll as well as both the Horizon League’s Fall & Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2010-11:
Played in three events as a sophomore…Posted an 87.0 stroke average in seven rounds of golf…Tied his career-best 18 with a 75 for 11th in the Dual vs. Oakland…Playing as an individual, he tied for 33rd at the Titans Invitational with a 243 (87, 79, 77)…Ended the Horizon League Championship in 40th place…Earned a spot on the Detroit Athletic Director’s and the Horizon League’s Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2009-10:
Cracked the starting lineup on six occasions as a freshman, beginning with the final tournament of the fall schedule… Posted a season-low tally of 75 in the first round of that event, the Georgetown Intercollegiate… Later matched that number in The Battle of the Warren as Detroit took on Notre Dame in a dual match on the Fighting Irish’s home course… Best tournament finish was a tie for 25th place at the Mission Inn Spring Fling, an event hosted by St. John’s which opened the Titans’ spring schedule… Finished the year with a 78.4 stroke average.
Personal:
A three-time winner of the Kalamazoo Junior Golf Association Player of the Year Award (2006, 2008, 2009), making him the first-ever multiple winner in KJGA history… Also won the 2009 Kalamazoo Men’s City Championship… Was a three-time All-State selection in high school… Finished his prep career in great fashion, leading Kalamazoo Hackett to its first state golf championship in 33 years… Individually, he lost in a three-hole playoff for Division 4 medalist… A year earlier, as Hackett finished third in Division 3, Keyte also ended up third individually… An All-Conference choice all four years in high school… Signed with the Titans in November of 2008, bringing an impressive junior golf resume with him to UDM… Scored a pair of Top 10 finishes in American Junior Golf Association tournaments (second at the Woodward Video Junior at the Greenbrier and ninth at the Randy Wise Junior Open in Flint) earlier that year… Missed qualifying for the U.S. Junior by just one shot… Was sixth at the Michigan PGA Junior… Finished the year ranked 117th nationally by the AJGA and 163rd by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard… In addition to golf, also played high school basketball… Majoring in accounting.
