2013: Earned the Kevin Donner MVP for the second-straight year… Posted personal records in the 4k, 5k and 6k on the season and was in the top 14 six times, in the top seven five times, in the top three four times and won two races …Was First Team All-Horizon League for the second-straight year as she took third overall in 18:14, the highest finish at the event by a Titan since Kim Hemstreet won the race in 2002… It was also the fifth fastest run at the HL Championship in school history… Started the season by winning the 4k Golden Grizzly Open in 15:17, the first victory by a Titan since 2002, en route to being named the HL Runner of the Week… She then won the 27th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational with a time of 18:38, just the second Titan to ever win the race and the first since Angie Lefere in 1997… Her run was also the fourth-best ever by a Detroit runner at Cass Benton as she was once again honored by the conference as the Runner of the Week… Set a career and Titan record finishing in 17:58 for 14th at the National Catholic Championships, the first Titan in the top 15 since 2005… Set a school record at the Greater Louisville Classic claiming third in 18:03… Ran 21:52 in the Penn State National placing seventh, the eighth fastest 6k time in school history… She then lowered that to a career-low 21:34 for 47th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, an improvement by 28 places from her junior year and the fourth best 6k run in Titan history… The 47th-place effort was also tied for the fourth best in UDM history… Ended her career running under 20 minutes in the 5k eight times and under 19 on six occasions…A member of the Detroit Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll and the HL Fall Academic All-League Team.
2012: Tabbed the Kevin Donner Team MVP in her first year as a Titan despite an injury at the beginning of the year... She earned All-Horizon League First Team with a career-best time of 18:18 for fifth place at the Horizon League Championships…She was the first Titan in the top five since 2005, and also posted the best finish for a Titan newcomer at the league meet since 1997…Her 75th-place finish (21:55) at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional was the eighth highest by a UDM harrier in school history, and she also posted the best Titan time ever at the Greater Louisville Classic running 19:06 for 76th… Led the Titans in five different races…Was 85th at the National Catholic Championship with a time of 19:17… Was runner-up in the 3k dual against Oakland in 10:52… A member of the UDM Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Prior To Detroit: Twice selected All-American, All-Region and All-MCCAA while at Macomb Community College...Macomb was ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Top 25 Poll during the 2011 season...A part of the NJCAA Academic All-American Cross Country Team in 2010...Named to the Academic Team of the Year at the Annual Macomb Athletics Banquet as a freshman...Also ran track and field where she was a part of the National Championship Distance Medley Relay team...Received All-American honors in the 1000-meters and with the 3200-meter relay team.
High School: Earned All-State, All-County, All-League and Team MVP honors at Woods Tower…Set a high of school record of 18:57 at a cross country meet… Served as captain for two seasons…As a member of the track team, she set the school records in the 800m run with a time of 2:26 and the mile run with a time of 5:11.
Personal: Daughter of Joseph and Carmen Coppola... Hobbies include going out with friends and spending time with family... Major is English literature.
