2025 - Joshua Otten became the first Titan to ever win the mile at the Horizon League Indoor Championships, as he posted a wire-to-wire finish, taking gold in a time of 4:13.53. Rivalry games bring out some great moments, and for Aaliyah McQueen, she had a monster double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds against Oakland, her former team, to lead Detroit Mercy to a 67-59 Metro Series win in the #MetroSeries.
2024 - Nathan Mysiorek made an immediate impact in his collegiate debut. The freshman went 3-0 in the sabre against the University of Michigan and a 2-1 mark against Wayne State to go 5-1 overall, helping the Detroit Mercy's men's Sabre team to victories over WSU and U-M at the Titan Invitational. The indoor season proved to be gold for Kayla Smith as she posted a career-best 17.88 meters in the hammer for second in school history during the regular season. At the indoor Horizon League Championships, she tossed 17.37m and she became the first Titan indoor championship winner since 2000 and the first women's weight winner since 2005.
2023 - Allison Sherman put together one of the best 6k races in school history as she battled for gold and claimed silver at the Horizon League Cross Country Championship. She earned First Team All-Horizon League honors with a time of 21:55. It was the best finish by a Titan since 2002. Antoine Davis had a number of standout performances on the year, but he broke an NCAA record in thrilling fashion at home against Robert Morris. He nailed a school-record 11 triples to become the NCAA all-time three-point record holder and finished with 41 points. He was 15-of-26 from the field and 11-of-18 from behind the arc. The 11, 3-pointers was one away from the Horizon League mark. The game was tied at 39-39 when Davis rang in his eighth 3-pointer of the first half to break the NCAA record with his 510th career triple.Â
2022 - Elise Harder pulled down a school-record 19 draw controls and also had a team-high four goals and added an assist, ground ball and caused turnover against St. Bonaventure, Dante Bassham earned the most points for the Titans at the Outdoor Horizon League Championships posting 16 individual points with runner-up efforts in the 100 and 200 meters - breaking the school record in the 100m with a time of 10.39 in the prelims - and was part of the first place 4x100 and the fifth place 4x400 as he had a hand in 30 of the 77.5 team points
