MacKenzie Meyer joined the Detroit Mercy athletic training staff in January of 2022 as an assistant athletic trainer.
She came to the Titans after serving as an assistant athletic trainer with Ball State, working with its softball and field hockey teams. Prior to that, she spent two years as an assistant athletic trainer with the University of the Cumberland's, working with its men's and women's lacrosse, swimming and diving and bowling programs. She was also an adjunct professor at the University, teaching Human Anatomy & Physiology and Care & Prevention.
While obtaining her graduate degree in college, she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Indiana University, working with their women's tennis and competitive cheerleading program. During her time there, she also worked with the Grand Parks Sports Complex. As an undergraduate at Michigan State University, she was part of the student training staff with the MSU athletic training department with volleyball, men's soccer and men's basketball, MSU Gatorade Sports Camps, and at DeWitt High School. In the summer of 2016, she did an internship working with various athletes at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
In college, she also played club lacrosse and was an assistant girl's coach at East Lansing High School.
She graduated from Michigan State with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Kinesiology in 2017 and earned a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Indiana in 2019.
