The University of Detroit Mercy softball team concluded its 2010 season Sunday afternoon in Chicago with a doubleheader against Loyola in which the Titans fell 19-0 in game one and 4-0 in game two.

Senior Erica Houthoofd (Unionville, MI/Unionville-Sebewaing Area) homered and sophomore pitcher Kara Spinelli (Newman, CA/Orestimba) gave up just four earned runs, but the Titans saw Loyola take game one of the weekend series, 9-1, on Saturday afternoon.

The University of Detroit Mercy softball team took the field at Buysse Ballpark for the final time in the 2010 season on Tuesday afternoon for a doubleheader against Oakland University and took the opportunity to recognize a trio of exceptional seniors, but the Titans were unable to send them off with a win, falling 6-2 and 5-0 to the Grizzlies.
