INDIANAPOLIS (1/23/23) – For their outstanding efforts in the classroom, 95 University of Detroit Mercy student-athletes were named to the Horizon League Fall 2022 Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Monday.
Women's soccer led the way for the Titans with 21 Honor Roll student-athletes which ranked first among all other HL women's soccer teams. Men's cross country and track and field was second with 20 student-athletes followed by men's soccer with 19 which both also lead the league respectively for each sport.
Women's cross country and track and field had 16 honorees followed by softball with seven.
Women's basketball had four representatives while men's basketball had two. Women's golf also had three honorees followed by men's golf with two.
Across the Horizon League, 1,274 student-athletes achieved academic honor roll distinctions for the Fall 2022 semester with all 12 members and 19 Horizon League-sponsored sports represented. Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:
• Participation in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
• Completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
• A cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
