INDIANAPOLIS (6/29/23) -- The University of Detroit Mercy saw 93 student-athletes honored for their work in the classroom as the Horizon League announced its 2023 Spring Academic Honor Roll on Thursday.
Women's soccer led the way for the Titans with 21 Honor Roll student-athletes, which also ranked first among all other HL women's soccer teams. Men's soccer also had the most in the League with 18, while men's cross country and track and field led their respective sport with 21 student-athletes.
Across the Horizon League, 1,264 student-athletes achieved academic honor roll distinctions for the spring 2023 semester, with all 11 members and 19 Horizon League-sponsored sports represented. Candidates for the
Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:
- Participation in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
- Completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
- A cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
