Guy Murray talks about the track and field team at Detroit with TitansTV heading into the OU Dual Saturday

About the Titans
Detroit is coming off its first outdoor competition of the 2013 season after competing at Cincinnati and Toledo last weekend. On the men's side, distance runners Bob Radlich (1500m) and Martin Nelkie (10k) and hammer thrower Colin Cashner all set career bests and each moved into the Titan top ten in their respective events.  Ja'Quan Patterson recorded a new personal outdoor record in the long jump while sprinter Charles Anthony ran the 200 meters and finished with the No. 6 all-time mark at Detroit becoming the fifth Titan to run under the 22 second mark.  The women's team had a few Titan top ten marks fall as well as Allison Garner ran a 12.54 in the 100 meters to move into the No. 10 spot while Allyson Koglin jumped to No. 8 in the hammer throw.

Five-Year Seniors
The Titans have four five-year student-athletes and all four have already earned undergraduate degrees. Aviram Campbell (Sociology) and Bob Radlich (Business) on the men's team both have degrees and Campbell is now working towards a master's degree in intelligence analysis and Radlich is working towards an MBA. On the women's team, Amanda Campbell (Health Service Administration) and Susan Kalkstein (English Literature) also have bachelor's degrees and Campbell and Kalkstein are both pursuing an MBA academically. Aviram Campbell and Kalkstein both had a chance to talk about their time with Detroit in an interview with TitansTV.

About Oakland
This is the second outdoor event for Oakland after the team competed in the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. last weekend.
